I had a terrible experience going into this establishment. I went in with my Lenovo and Macbook laptops hoping that the people who are owned the place would work with me, but instead they tried to lowball both of my laptops. These people are lowballing everyone because their business is in predominately black neighborhood and the owners are not black. The most that I was offered for my Lenovo laptop was $75 because I was told the product can be found in various Walmarts. I paid more than $200 for my Lenovo laptop and that is a lowball amount of $75, pocket change. With my Macbook Air, I wasn't even offered $400, they basically told me that only an idiot would buy my Macbook. They recommended to sell on a marketplace because they refuse to work with me. I would not recommend anyone in the surrounding Birmingham area to do business with this company. They judge my laptops basically wanted rarely used...

I am so glad I found this place. My ancient laptop seemed to be dying and I really didn't want to go to a big box store. So I did a Google search and Far Computers looked like my best bet (37 years in business plus lots of very positive reviews). So glad I took this leap of faith. They were able to clean up my computer and determine that the hard drive was still kicking. They also installed much-needed malware and Spyware and instructed me on how to utilize it (and to NEVER fall for the pop-ups telling me I should upgrade to paid). All of this for $85!!! And now I know where I'll go when it finally dies to buy my next gently used laptop (the one I've had for ten years was bought used in a small business computer repair shop where I used to live). Writing this review from my fixed gaming PC. I installed new ram into my PC last week and it blue screened on me. Went through a series of troubleshooting and couldn't figure out why my PC bluescreened on me. Googled PC repair shops near me and found this place. Chris not only solved my issue and fixed my blue screen, he also cleaned my PC and fixed the back of my PC where I couldn't close it all the way cause of the wiring.

10/10 recommend this place to anyone.
