We dropped our car off at the dealership to have them fix a coolant leak. They quoted $1300, but charged us $1400 when we picked it up. They replaced the water pump and thermostat. We never had any problems with the car overheating until they “fixed” it. We picked the car up, drove it home the next morning we drove it to work and it overheated. Contacted the service department and they told us to bring it back in. We drove it there cautiously. We dropped it off and didn’t hear from anyone for 3 business days - even after leaving a message. When we called again, we were informed that the cost to repair it now is an additional $3200 - what?!?!?! To add insult to injury, we had asked about changing the oil, but did not assume that the car was in need of $3200 of additional work after they just fixed it. So now we will be towing the car to a reputable repair shop to determine our next steps. But we have to pay for the oil change on a vehicle that we can’t even drive! The options from the dealership, after what we believe to have been a serious problem created by their technician, are to either spend an additional $3200 in repairs or they would give us a trade-in allowance of $600. We have worked with the dealership in good faith for many years. This was not the first time we had challenges, but it is the most expensive lesson to teach us not to work with them again...

What we got from Bob Jass and Joseph showed me that the normal high pressure sales tactics I expected were absent. When we walked in Joseph completely put us at ease. He was polite and he listened to what we said we were looking for. Karen's comment to me after Joseph helped her find the right car for her was, " Joseph found the car that checked off all the boxes for me". My own car had been having all kinds of mechanical problems. My plan was to drive Karen's car after she found a new one. I was truly impressed by Joseph and the Bob Jass cululture so I started looking around. I had some ideas and once again Joseph directed me to the perfect car for my needs. So, Saturday we purchased TWO cars and we are very happy. We learned that not all car dealers are the same. We will definitely direct our friends to Bob Jass Chevrolet when they are in the market for a car. Read moreWe are from Western IL and were in St. Charles July 4-7 to house sit for a family member. Driving over on the 4th on Interstate 88 we had a Stabilitrak warning along with ABS warning lights. On the 5th we started to drive and immediately heard problems when braking. At about 12:30 PM I called the dealership in St. Charles, only to be sent to voicemail twice. My family member has used Bob Jass in the past for her Sonic, and recommended you as a more friendly dealership, even though you were farther away. I called, told Bob Horrell my story, and he said he'd do what he could to help me if I could get it in. Long story short, Bob got me in, identified the problem, gave me the price, had the part, and told me he could have it down in about 90 minutes. He actually got it down sooner than that, and at a fair price. He also offered me a spare phone charger as my phone battery was dying.
Just want to say Bob went the extra mile to get me taken care of, even with very short notice and the fact that I won't be a repeat customer. Kudos to your service department, and especially to Bob, who treated me like a regular and went above and beyond to ensure my car was repaired so I could safely make...
