I want to recognize the good customer service that Will Fink and his staff gave me at “Run About Sports” in Blacksburg VA (Home of Virginia Tech) on 2/25/21. I was interested in a pair of shoes that would fit my problem feet. -Will- explained that the “Hoka Bondi” shoes would offer me orthopedic comfort and stability. He noted the specifics and explained them well. He was absolutely right and true to his words. These are one of the best pair of shoes I have ever worn. I simply wear them for walking on a country road where I live. After walking in them I didn’t have the foot pain I had previously experienced. My feet felt good. I had asked Will Fink to send me the specifics of what he in part explained to me regarding the shoes and this is what he sent:

“The Hoka Bondi is a maximally cushioned neutral shoe, with an inherently stable geometry. The midsole consists of a tall slab of soft, plush foam that provides incredible protection from impact forces from running or walking and high durability. With a wide platform, the Bondi creates a very stable base that won't try to change your movement patterns, but instead roll forward with your foot as you move through the gait cycle. For a neutral shoe, it is the top of the line in terms of cushioning and support in a surprisingly lightweight package!”-Will Fink

My husband and I came into the store yesterday, Saturday 23rd August to get some new running trainers. We were served by a young blonde man I believe called Cooper (this is what the receipt said). He was completely alone in the store on what is possibly the busiest weekend of the year with all the freshman coming in and the return of all the other students.

Whilst we were in the store, there was an influx of at least 7 other groups of people, some with more than one person needing new trainers or some type of support from Cooper. We have never seen someone stay so calm in such a stressful situation. Cooper was incredible. He made sure everyone was greeted at the door, no one had to wait long periods of time for anything and everyone had a personal and pleasant experience. This young man should get absolutely get a promotion! I dont know how he managed the entire store completely alone on a day like that without so much as a hint of being stressed or frustrated.

Amazing service and such a wonderful person. We will always be coming back and hopefully always when Cooper is there.
