Typically not a person to leave a negative review, but after my experience at Aldi in Westerville tonight i'm not sure if I will be back. I was just in Aldi picking up groceries for the week, I didn't realize that the store was closing at 8pm. Right as I walk in at 7:58 there was a lady stocking produce and another girl ran up and yelled "LOCK THE DOORS RIGHT AT 8 WE ARE ABOUT TO CLOSE AND I DON'T WANT PEOPLE WALKIN IN AFTER 8" I then said "Oh, I didn't know you guys closed at 8 I'll hurry up" the lady stocking produce just looked at me with no words. OK, I got the hint, I hurried through the store to grab my items, there was a lady literally sweeping around me as I quickly shop. I then check out and the only pleasant part of the experience was the lady checking people out she was so kind and nice. Then as I'm leaving and the workers are turning people away, a man walked in to meet his wife to pay for her groceries. I'm assuming the lady forgot her wallet. The man walks in, speaking broken english, the workers were so RUDE to him. "SIR WE CLOSE AT 8 PM ITS NOW 8:12 YOU CAN'T COME IN" the man then tries to explain the situation and the lady wouldn't let him get a word in. "SIR WE ARE CLOSED YOU CAN'T COME IN!" just yelling so that the man is in complete humiliation. I mean I get it, its Sunday night and you've been working all day and you want to leave. But its your job to be polite. Maybe this Aldi should find new workers who actually care about the job and the customers coming in. I've never had a bad experience at Aldi, and this one is so close to home, just not sure I like being treated poorly when I'm planning on spending money at an establishment. If these issues are addressed I will be happy to change my review for...
Read moreThis is my favorite Aldie to go to. I really like the last Aldi that was in the shopping center because of the way that the isles were set up. At that one it was actually a maze that forced you to go through every single aisle where I was at this grocery store, there’s open parts to it and people just go wherever they want. It’s not as enjoyable of an experience because of that. I feel like I’m always in somebody’s way when the old set up would never really make you feel like that. I do like what they carry and I like that they come out with new products to try out for a small amount of time and if they’re successful then you see them there more. They don’t have the greatest selection of vegetables so they might not have everything that you’re looking for which would force you to go to a different grocery store but I like to come here first so that I can try to save as much money as I can. They’re AOS (aisles of shame) aisles with random products are always fun to check out if you have extra time and a little extra money to spend on things for the house or the kitchen. Early in the year you can find calendars and planners and around different holidays you can also find holiday decor. The employees are very friendly and helpful and you will see that most of the faces there have been there for quite a while so they’re obviously taken care of. They run around like crazy and...
Read moreI usually enjoy shopping at the various Aldi locations especially when I find nick nacks and or equipment that's useful in my gym. I purchased approximately 600.00 or more in pots as gifts, equipment etc. over the last month. I returned a couple items due to defects and/or the price dropped. Josiah initiated the return of about 50.00 but had system issues in which he called the manager for assistance. The manager on duty November 12, 2024 had the worst attitude, personality and demeanor to be dealing with the public. When I spend a significant amount of my money with an establishment... it makes me take pause when a simple return feel like a crime was committed. I personally will spend my money somewhere else after that experience. But, I will suggest store management receive training in customer service for customer retention. I will also contact the Corporate office with...
