This was the first time I’ve been to this Kroger and I enjoy it a lot especially enjoy the way it’s all set up sometimes new stores frustrate and confuse me, but this Kroger was pretty stocked up on items, lines went quickly, no issue with my digital wallet when checking out, employees treated me as they should, some krogers have over baring security officers that seem to bully whoever they decide to I’ve been told I wasn’t aloud at Kroger on parsons (I’ve literally been going twice a day for a month at this point) and I said can you guys get together and like adults please give me a real reason for this I mean this is my neighborhood grocery store literally I come back an hour later in jeans instead of sweatpants and a cardigan instead of my hoodie and he didn’t move his interesting shaped body that is interesting padded for a security job) couple weeks before that I was trying to make it before close to buy cat food had cat food literally about to turn into self check out area like moments from checking out and he (the egg shaped security guard) said just set the food down where I was and leave I was like why can’t anyone tell me or show me why I can’t be here and he said he didn’t have to threatened to use excessive physical force (mind you over cat food I was literally about to scan) it wouldn’t be such an issue if it wasn’t so degrading and makes me feel nervous that a security guard position (that obviously doesn’t even have a mandatory physical fitness) so do they check for domestic violence or if his safe around children or if his had incidents previously since his so fast to threaten physical force on someone under 100 like when anyone else is working security I not once have had an issue I think about calling whatever company he works for but I wouldn’t want the guy to look bad which is what would happen instead of him talking responsibility nobody will help because to others your a theft and probably using drugs to the workers they are glad that they can’t get in trouble for not catching someone stealing in their line. Overall this Kroger made me feel comfortable like the old days before people would steal to such an extent they have to close stores all over the place not a few but hundreds, thousands. Okay I’m don’t ranting sorry...
Read moreThis Kroger has been and continues to go downhill as compared to say 5, 10, or 15 years ago. All the re-arranging is not doing this place any justice. I will give credit to some employees who are working hard. Then there are a few who just do not want to work. This location could use more friendlier cashiers, the self-check out just doesn't seem ideal especially for groceries of 20+ items. As mentioned, it keeps going downhill and each year I try to go less here even though I live 5 minutes away. I will not discredit the stocking folks or departments, they seem to do there job to their best ability. Some of the downhill rating is the customers which are frequenting this location, some are rude to people and workers...plus some are not even caring for courtesy or just being loud (it's a grocery store, not a block party).
Lately, I have preferred to avoid the circus crowd and just do drive-thru pickup. I will have to commend Christian, Kevin, and Sophia from the grocery drive-up...these three are amazing folks and very courteous. I hope this place improves with more cashiers available to help with check out. I can deal with self-check out with 20 items or so, but when I have a shopping cart full of groceries including fruits/veggies - the cashiers are definitely faster than I would be with all those items. I work in technology including automation and apps, but just because some things like self-check out are available - it doesn't mean it presents a efficient or good customer experience for all during the check...

Kroger brass has decreed that rather than let scummy businesses (these "companies" churn through people like you wouldn't believe; they turn over 100% of their staff several times a year and many operate like a MLM) attempt to sell you cheap Internet while you shop, they are moving on to credit cards! And not at a table/display like the Internet folks. The salesman I observed not only approached/interrupted people while shopping for produce, he followed people around the store. Anyone want to take bets on if he targets elderly shoppers?
Is this really how Kroger wants to treat their loyal customers? They look like blood suckers attempting to extract every last dollar out of us while we shop. No one comes to Kroger to sign up for a credit card. They are literally cold-calling you while you shop for groceries like scummy stock boiler rooms (Wolf of Wall Street anyone?).
Kroger is really starting to slip. I hate Wal Mart as an idea, but at this point Kroger is starting to give me the same vibe, so I may as well save some money. Trader Joe's and Aldi are cheaper too. If you have a family, get a Sam Club's or Costco card. You will save a ton of $$$$.
I know that the C-level suite is mostly concerned with increase in that Earnings per Share number every quarter, but could y’all find some other way to generate...
