Good morning, myself and about 15-20 Gahanna Lincoln parents/families came to HB to pre-game before our game against Westerville Central last night 10/07/22. Granted when we arrived, we told the host we would have about 14-15 people. Unbeknownst to us, more people came to pre-game than we anticipated. We asked our server if we could add tables ( around this time it was still sort of empty). We were told “no problem” As more people came, a man-who I am going to assume was a manager-came over by us (but not close enough to actually have a conversation with us) and yelled about adding people. He had a full beard and kind of tall. It was so rude and unprofessional the way he yelled and stormed off in a huff. Had he come over in an adult manner and spoke to us, I wouldn’t be sending this email. I thought at first to post on Facebook, but wanted to not shame an establishment that we’ve pre-gamed at before for the act of one employee. What saved the night was our server. He was gracious, professional, kind and understanding. He was given tips on top of his tips. My suggestion is to speak with the gentleman with the beard about customer service and how it goes a long way in this world of crazy. We will be back, the food was amazing and our server was amazing!!
I see that emails go the gentleman I’m speaking of G. Paugh the manager so I’m posting here and on Yelp. I get being frustrated, but coming over to a table of patrons ( moms, dads, grandparents, children…) and yelling at them is beyond unprofessional. I would like to say I will be back, but if this behavior is condoned, I will not. MAS
Thank you “owner” for responding, however what you’ve been told is not true. When we arrived, we told them we were expecting maybe 14-15, NEVER 10! We also asked each time we moved a table. Maybe your staff wasn’t communicating and the best way to place blame to say we didn’t have permission. You didn’t address the issue of unprofessional behavior but instead chose to justify it. That speaks volumes… If you notice Mr. Paugh’s behavior is the issue. There are ways to speak with people especially those who are paying. He chose to come to the end of the table of all the females to yell at us. We understand everything you say in your response regarding the servers and areas. This isn’t our first time pre-gaming. We’ve never been treated so rudely in any establishment we go...
Read moreOrdered what I usually order from Harry Buffalo except this time when I went in Not only was one of the bartenders rude once I was able to get any response from her , she ignored me four different times that she walked past me and did not even take my order it's a shame that the waitress at the bar that took my order was clocking out to leave her shift she still took my order she turned my order in and she brought my to-go order out to me I gave her a $5 tip and told her not to share it because the other bartender ignored me she was rude and condescending she rolled her eyes at me and basically ignored me as a customer to me that doesn't deserve any tip and you don't deserve to get a tip split. On another note went back to get my money back because the food made me immediately sick the owner of the establishment tried to argue with me to tell me that I shouldn't have gotten sick off the food that fast no one can tell a single person how one's body should react to food that has not been prepared the correct way make sure your cooks are washing their hands wearing hair nets and taking the proper Sanitation procedures in the food department as they should , the whole experience was just terrible they gave me my money back but they didn't give me all my money back everything was no good I took my money and I will no longer be returning to this establishment I don't like rude condescending and dismissive business owners when a customer comes in complaining that they've been sick from your food you need to reevaluate your kitchen staff and on that note that is why I gave the reviews that I did I will no longer be returning to this establishment ever again and I will definitely be telling family and friends about this establishment. I don't know what happened they used to be really well but no longer maybe it's the more money your business make the more people don't care it's really sad and I try to support all businesses especially when they started out having really good food a really good atmosphere and really good service but that all went...
Read moreThis big, open sports bar has seen different themes n names over the years. Near Hoover reservoir and just off the expanded rt. 161
Pros: The owner is frequently on site checking on things. (I give extra stars to any location where the Owner is present.) Last time I went, seated in big outdoor patio, man and woman (wife?) showed up. Woman started picking weeds and cigarette butts out of flower trellises while man talked with staff. BIG Extra Points for that "roll up the sleeves n Work" ownership! Gotta love it.
More pros... big indoor bar, lots of big screens for sports, big roll-up doors between bar and outside patio give it an open air feeling.
Outside bar serving a big, multi-tiered patio, outside stage for live music...and yes, you can smoke/vape outside if that's your thing. Night I was there a corn hole tournament was going on.
Service good to excellent. I made a mistake when ordering...totally my fault. Server made it right with out a hitch. Manager stopped by to check on things.
Beer on tap...cold, decent, generous serving at reasonable prices.
Prices...reasonable.
Restrooms clean and decent size.
Cons: Not any that I noticed.
Neutral: Menu and food quality is typical bar: wings, burgers, etc. Nothing really jumps out, all reasonable quality/taste/serving size. Fried Twinkie for dessert was different.
Nice place. If you are looking for a big, open sports bar w a neighborhood feel, easy access, in the area..this...
