Hollywood Markets — Local services in Bloomfield Township

I reluctantly stopped at Hollywood Market today to grab some pink Himalayan salt. My last experience there wasn’t great, so I wasn’t too excited about going back, but I figured it was just for salt, so why not.

The store was pretty busy. Most customers were zooming through like I was, with a few casually browsing.

I ended up buying a 5oz shaker jar of pink Himalayan salt for $4.19 and four 7oz bags of organic coconut flakes (around $4 each) to make homemade coconut water. 😋 They didn’t have many options for salt, and the ones that caught my eye were a bit pricey for the size.

The cashier was a pleasant surprise—she was sweet and chatty, which made it more enjoyable while I searched for my card.

Even though this visit was better than my last, I still wouldn’t recommend Hollywood Market overall. Their prices are higher, and their selection is smaller compared to nearby stores. But on the bright side, they do have a nice little...

I’ve been shopping here 1 to 2 times a week for more than 6 years. In light of Covid 19 we are required to cover our faces while in the store. I don’t have access to medical masks so I covered my face with a scarf and wore latex gloves. My whole trip was about 30 min and while I was cashing out, the bag boy told me “ if I want to come back to the store, you need to wear a mask”. I responded by telling him I didn’t have a mask but I covered my face with a scarf. He just repeated the same thing again in rude tone. I told him to stop and he just walked away. He did not bag my groceries. A different person bagged my groceries who was very nice. I know these are tense times but that was very in called for. I won’t be spending my money...

I'd rate this place five stars due to the great customer service here as well as the wide variety of groceries they have here. I typically come in just to get some snack for my cheat day, and I'm glad to say that they never disappoint me! I've also had no trouble finding the things I needed due to the signs displayed above each isle. Although, in the night time, it can get pretty hectic due to people being more in a hurry, but that's normal for a lot of places, so I understand this. Overall, though, I would recommend this place to anyone just looking to go and get something quickly as opposed to having to travel far out for a Meijer...
