Lela’s Brunch — Restaurant in Auburn Hills

Would rate zero stars if I could. Worst dining experience in recent memory, possibly ever. Coffee was cold and burnt, and we asked for two glasses of water to go with it but we never received them. We only had one bundle of silverware initially, and even after asking for another it took them about fifteen minutes and several additional requests for them to finally bring us utensils to eat our meal with. The waitresses were cold and would often forget our requests, requiring us to ask multiple times just to receive something as simple as additional utensils. When we asked for a third time for additional utensils and water (the latter of which we never received), the waitress was attempting to have a conversation with the couple behind us at the same time. This is probably why she forgot our request again. We ordered two waffle dishes that took about twenty minutes to arrive and when they did they were cold and soggy. I believe this is due to the fact that they sat on the counter awaiting delivery to our table for upwards of ten minutes. On this note, the waitresses seemed to have had this problem with every person's food in the diner, as the entire time we were dining there was a mound of plates growing cold on the counter, waiting for waitresses that would never come. The side plate of eggs and bacon were still there when we left, speaking volumes about the amount of care that the waitresses have for your time, money, and food. The chicken that was supposed to come with my waffles was not as much as was promised (three pieces vs. the five that comes with the order) and my partner's side plate of eggs and bacon never arrived, we had to have them take if off of our bill at the end (which of course they argued). The syrup was cold and viscous and was not nearly enough to cover the two waffles that we ordered. The men's bathroom had no soap. Tables sat in disarray not two feet from us, piled high with food waste that went uncleaned for over half an hour, possibly more. We asked for our bill so we could pay and leave and after twenty minutes and two reminders that went seemingly forgotten we had to walk up to the front counter and begin the process ourselves, and of course they still were not ready. I am sure I am forgetting additional details but my point is please do not waste your time or money on this subpar food and...

Stopped in with my daughter. As we walked in we stood there while two female employees just looked at us, as I walked further in they said hello. We sat ourselves, since we weren't given any direction. A waitress came over to get our drink order, I asked about breakfast since one of the other reviews said they didn't serve after 11am. But she assured me it's served all day. I ordered the burger with everything. It came piping hot! It was pretty good, just overloaded with toppings. Made it difficult to eat. As we are eating, those same female employees are still in the same spot staring at the few customers in the restaurant. Only one waitress was doing actual work. My daughter had a club sandwich. It was ok she said. Menu says it comes with ranch she asked to switch out for mayo. The waitress told her it came with mayo. Kinda confusing. Half way through our meal, the staring waitresses started talking really loud to each other actually yelling, made me feel uncomfortable. When they were done yelling it was an awkward silence in the whole restaurant. I like to feel comfortable where I spend my time and money. This place did not make me feel wanted. I won't be back. Just not a good experience. Side note we shared the brioche french toast for something sweet. It tasted like fried egg...

TERRIBLE. Do not waste your time. I should have taken a photo of my awful plate of food. Ordered breakfast for lunch at 11:45 am. Five (5) things gone bad. Ordered Onion & cheese scrambled eggs. Had green pepper in it. Did not order it and can’t eat it. So obviously he used same pan and didn’t clean it before he cooked mine. Toast wasn’t even toasted and slathered in butter and soggy. Ordered side bacon, to be soft, flimsy, or undercooked and came burnt!! Even more burnt than my friends and he ordered crisp. LOL. 😂🤭 Hash browns you could tell, were sitting from this early morning. They were old, cold, bland and burnt; Then, reheated and soggy. Ordered Pepsi and wanted refill. Asked if I could switch to Mountain Dew, said sure, but had a some thing Pepsi left in my glass. Waitress doesn’t give me new glass. And doesn’t even empty or rinse out cup, just fills up with more ice and Mountain Dew.

I AM that person that always calls management over or asks to see him/her on way out and COMPLIMENT food and service. This was not the case here, so I complained. NOT paying $22 for a BAD breakfast. 1 thing wrong, no worries. 2nd thing wrong, It happens. 3rd thing, not too good. 4 & 5 things wrong, come on!! Get it together. Do better....
