China Village — Restaurant in Bloomfield Township

Egg drop soup was thick and gelatinous. Egg rolls were not fresh, chose not to eat them. Sweet and sour chicken and orange chicken had the exact same sauce. General Taos chicken tasted bad among all four of us. Chicken was over fried. My daughter couldn't cut through the orange chicken. Fried rice was burnt. They were cooking all the food at too high of heat. I brought it to the waitresses attention that the General Taos was bad and all the chicken was overcooked in each of the dishes. Waitress talked about how many people were ordering and she doesn't understand why the food would not be good as they have a lot of orders today.

I requested the General Taos chicken be taken off the bill but they refused after the waitress spoke with the owner. The bill was 70 dollars for three dishes. They offered to remake the food however I had somewhere to be as we had tickets to an event, besides why would I want things remade if the quality is bad. No one checked up on us as we were eating. WONT BE BACK because of how they dealt with the situation. As a previous business owner this type of service will bring a business down.

I've been here before but never experienced it that bad. I won't be back, which is unfortunate because this is my 10 year old daughter's favorite restaurant. Even she knew something was off when she wasn't able to cut through her chicken...

I patronize this place at least once a week when my family is craving Chinese food. My mom referred me to this place in which I’ve been going to for years! I recently went in to pick up my order and was disappointed. I explain to the lady who took my order how last time I ordered and the almond chicken was burnt and she explained to me that’ll she’ll let them know NOT to well cook my order well done. To my surprised I checked the food before I left and it was burnt, not only that I ordered fresh veggie rice which I paid an additional $4 for, which they used old rice. This is the rice that usually comes with the meal. I paid for fresh veggie rice ( I order it all the time). They had the nerve to put my broccoli on top and tried to tell me that it was cook in the rice. I’m no genius but if it was cooked with the rice the broccoli would’ve been cooked with the rice throughout . After trying to get her to remake the order she kept going around and around basically trying to tell me I’m crazy. So told her she can keep the food ( which I paid for and just throw it away) I walked out and will never be back. Seriously disappointed! You should NEVER treat your loyal...

I have gone here forever The usual lady (cannot think of her name) was not there. I called ahead for carryout. Get there wait a few mins. Paid. No problem. Asked if there were forks in the bag... She mumbled her answer. Lol. Bag was stampled. So I asked again. Heading 2 work, none with me. THEN I asked for soy sauce. She replied "You only get 1". Lol... I'm like ok, as there were no napkins I asked "How much extra for napkins"? She had to go in back to get them. Guess she was tired and upset by then lol... Then she says next time call ahead... I replied "I did remember..But call for napkins and forks too"? Lol...Mind you, I drive all the way from Southfield to this restaurant. Welp ...Sad 2 say last night was my last time...
