I love Costco Tire and have been buying tires for my cars there for years. Never had a problem and have found the techs to be extremely friendly. Today was a different story. I took my car in for a routine tire rotation like I do every few months. To start no one was in the entrance to check you in. I waited for awhile before going back and getting a tech to come up. By that time there was a line of people waiting. After dropping off my car a service tech called me and said I needed all new lug nuts because mine were swollen and the manager wouldn't allow them to be put back on my car. I declined and went to pick up my keys and the guy working the counter said it was routine maintenance and that mine were all rusty and swollen and needed to be replaced. The counter guy went on to say no Costco would work on my car and I overheard tell the tech to make sure he puts notes in my file.
I came home and started removing lug nuts with a standard 21mm socket and breaker bar. Some were tight but I was able to remove them without having to go to a 22mm socket. None that I pulled had rust. If the tech actually tried pulling the lug nuts off they would have also seen I had recently replaced some with aftermarket solid one piece lug nuts that do not swell. So were there one or two that could have been replaced probably. But to tell me they were all rusty and swollen and couldn't be reused absolutely a lie.
I called and spoke with Kyle, a supervisor at Costco, who was very nice and apologetic. It's frustrating to have a front desk person completely make up stuff about the condition of my car. Were some lug nuts swollen? Yes, but not to the point where they couldn't be removed or put back on with the standard 21mm socket. Were any of the ones I pulled rusty? Not one of them. Did all need to be replaced? Absolutely not. Were some new and one piece? Yes.
I will continue to use Costco tire but probably not this one. Advocate for yourself and make them show you what is wrong before blindly agreeing to their recommendations because you never know what story they...

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding my recent experience at Costco on Feb 26. After completing my shopping, I attempted to cash my Costco Certificate at a newly opened register. The register personnel informed me that there might not be enough cash and directed me to the manager behind the register near the cage, identified as Jenee M.
Upon reaching the manager, Jenee M, she flatly refused to cash my Costco Certificate, stating that I should come back the next day. Despite explaining that I needed the cash urgently and making multiple requests, she rudely denied my request and even insulted me in the process.
In an attempt to resolve the situation, I approached Customer Service, where a helpful staff member suggested going back to the cage area to process my certificate. However, when I reached the cage area with the Customer Service personnel, Jenee M once again raised her voice, insisting that I was instructed to return the next day. I reiterated my urgent need for the cash, explaining that I was leaving town.
An employee standing next to Jenee M added that Costco does not cash certificates exceeding $200. In response, I requested a copy of the policy, as my understanding from Costco Membership and Citi card services was that certificates could be cashed at Costco.
This entire experience has left me feeling insulted and frustrated. I hope that this issue can be addressed promptly, and I request a clarification on Costco's policy regarding cashing certificates, as it appears to differ from the information provided during my membership and card service enrollment.
Thank you for your attention to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's a Sunday at Costco, and that's my first mistake, but as a person with a job, sometimes Sundays are the only days I have to go to Costco. I've gotten all my groceries and I'm at the checkout, so happy to LEAVE COSTCO for the day, when lo and behold, the cashier yells "REWARDS!", and I realize my fate. Listen, I have bought a house and a new set of car tires within the last 8 months. Costco came through on a number of big purchase items during this traumatizingly expensive season of my life. This was all quite expensive and out of the norm for me. Now, I do not want a rewards card. I don't want to explain to the nice cashier people why I don't want a rewards card. I just want to leave the store and go home and enjoy my Sunday. So Costco, please listen dearly, when I tell your employee "No." Multiple times, that I do not want the Rewards card, you better expect that I want my "NO" to be respected. I had to tell your salespeople about 10 different times, "NO." And they did not listen to me and continued to tell me, "But let me explain the rewards-" NO. My answer was, is, and will be no. I want to go home. I have paid for my groceries. Please let me leave. No means no. Next time I will be chastising them like children about that little life lesson when somebody tells you "no" about something. Would you all please kindly stop trying to sales pitch your rewards system at check-out. Otherwise I'll just stop going to Costco altogether, it's...
