Just like Plato’s, it’s a joke to drop stuff off here to “sell”. I brought in 3 LARGE totes full of business attire ranging from all sizes and seasons. Brands included Lauren Conrad, MK, Vera wang, old navy, Maurice’s, etc. also had quite a bit of maternity clothes, some with tags still attached. I was offer a whole $6! Now I’m not saying my clothes were perfect. But they were definitely not destroyed or out of date. Not to mention, when I dropped the clothes off there were 2 totes in front of me that needed to be counted and my items were done in less than 30 minutes. And when I got my items back, they were stacked in the same order when I brought them in. So I know they didn’t go through them. They have severely outdated styles hanging on the racks and the items they did buy from me I bought second hand. I was very surprised they didn’t take my maternity items. If you’ve seen their maternity “selection” (if that’s what you want to call it) it’s one rack with about 10-15 items on it shoved in the back corner. Don’t say you “buy clothes” when you don’t. I spent more money on gas than I...
Read moreNo one spoke to my daughter or I as we entered. There was only 1 other customer in the store, and two sales Associates that were talking to each other at the counter, looked them in the eye as I passed.. still nothing. We were ignored, until I had to walk over and grab someone to help. Every person afterward (there were 5) that entered were greeted immediately with a super friendly and warm welcome. Cannot help but to think that since my daughter and I are of African American descent, and every other customer was caucasian, this was the cause? I sincerely hope not, as this is 2019, and the city is very diverse, so it would make sense that having patrons of different ethnicities would be the norm. I gave it a one because it did have what I was looking for. Customer service was...
Read moreMy experience with Clothes Mentor has been disappointing. On several occasions this summer, I have been changing my wardrobe after having my son. I was excited to find clothes that fit for a reasonable price. On this occasion, I brought items in to sell, the clerk, accepted the items not contained in the bag and told me that the items inside the bag were not what they were accepting right now. I brought in summer dresses, sandals, leather purses and jean jackets. When I got back into the car, I saw that the items had not been touched or reviewed. I feel that this location could benefit from diversity, equity and inclusion training because the service I have witnessed and experienced for people of...
