Mattress Firm Bloomington — Hotel in Bloomington

My first experience at Mattress Firm was not the best. I do not remember who I worked with, but am sure I have his card somewhere. I was not greeted by the associate upon walking in and was not given helpful information. I informed him I was unknowledge of mattresses and wasn't sure what I wanted. Instead of educating me and giving options, he looked at me funny and made faces at the information I "thought" I liked/disliked. I still asked questions and tested out mattresses. I stated my budget is undecided as I will pay for what I need, but was not given any budget friendly options, only about $2500+. I think it would have been nice to see more options instead of 2 out of their catalog.

My second experience was with Kat. I briefly called to ask a question about online vs in-house financing. Kat convinced me to come in, as she says your experience is more personal. If you have questions/issues later, the associates are easier and happy to work with you. THANK YOU Kat! I wish I could have worked with her, but she was not in.

My last experience was with Scotty. He was exactly what I needed! Very quick and easy to work with. This time I knew exactly the mattress I needed, so there was no need to show me any. I bought a bed frame that never arrived. Staff from the shop at Normal didn't even know where the bed was, claiming that the factory had already delivered the bed to the shipping company. My tracking number didn't work as no info was on the system of the shipping company. After more than a month waiting, people from matress firm finally let me cancel my purchase but still, I didn't got my refund until one month later. In general, an awful experience. By the way, while this issue was developing, i was told that other customer went through the same, only that this person was able to get her product after several weeks. Apparently matress firm has no good control on how or when the products are being delivered. After posting this review, I called the shop again to follow the reply I got. I have to say that, as a compensation for all the trouble I went through, I was given a couple of products with a total value similar to the product I originally bought. Scotty was a wonderful help, my bed is being delivered Monday and I can't wait. I wanted to sleep there right in the store it was so comfortable. We were done quickly as Scotty knew we had a concert our grandchildren were in to get to so he moved the paperwork right along. They are coming with bed and will set it up for me on Monday which makes me feel wonderfully taken care of just like in the store which when making a large purchase like that, I especially like feeling a good decision was made and I am going to be taken good care of. Great experience, great bed and can't wait for Monday. Bed was delivered and set up as expected. It has been nothing but a restfull joy. Also, as we needed a couple other sleep related items, the team at Mattress Firm took excellent care of us, procurred the items and held them graciously for us to pick up when we could.
