Update 08/2023: Since our prior review, we've now started working with Shawn McKenny as Kristen highly recommended him prior to her departure. We would like to thank Shawn for everything he has done for our family. Shawn and his team have been wonderful and were able to repair/service my father’s old Omega after sourcing some incredibly difficult to find parts. The team even came through repairing my grandfather’s vintage Tudor prior to his 100th birthday. The watches have been running perfect and grandpa could not believe that it was the same watch he gifted me.

Shawn is extremely knowledgeable with both watches and jewelry. He recently gave our family a wonderful surprise by calling us to pick up my wife’s dream watch this year prior to the delivery of our daughter. Little girl will have a birth year watch once she gets a little older! I’m hopeful our love for watches rubs off on her and I’m certain she will be a future customer. Shawn is wonderful to work with and has become more of a friend than anything. His passion for watches is contagious. We love how the staff at Wixon take their time to get to know their clients and treat us as more than just a customer. They even remember our anniversary and would send us hand written cards to commemorate the occasion. We would highly recommend Shawn and Wixon! Another lovely return to Wixon for another special occasion. We have no clue how the timing was just impeccable, but Kristen somehow manages to make it perfect. I wasn’t really expecting anything crazy but the perks of having a loving wife is that she sometimes comes out with a sweet surprise. She knows how much I love Wixon and their watch selection.

We were pleasantly surprised and ecstatic that Kristen reached out to us and said that one of the timepieces I’d been dreaming of was available. It was just in time for my birthday and our anniversary. We were traveling at the time and Kristen never fails to be helpful and understanding to our situation, even if it means being kind and patient while a preschooler is wanting his mom’s attention in the background as they were talking about how to proceed.

Kristen helped to make it quite the memorable celebration and created a beautiful experience. I have always wanted to open the original packaging from the factory and she saved it all so that I could actually do so. I’m pretty sure my wife laughed at my excited inner watch-geek as I very carefully opened the packaging. This was definitely the best birthday present ever.

Steve was so patient and helpful. My watch strap was a little too loose then a bit too snug. Steve doesn’t mind the slight hassle of making minor adjustments; he’s just focused on making it perfect for you. Wixon treats us the same whether it’s just installing a $20 screw on a deployment clasp or an actual watch purchase. It’s part of why we love Wixon so much. Entrance:

When I arrived I was promptly, and warmly, greeted by a good portion of the team. Linda welcomed me in and politest suggested I use some hand sanitizer. A subtle but conscious gesture to ensure the safety of all guests since we would be handling watches and jewelry.

Store:

The store is large, well lit, and well staffed. There is space in the store for COVID concerns and Linda promptly offered me hand sanitizer when I entered. I used the facilities which are not in the showroom of the store and no one had any issue to guide to the office area to accommodate. Not only was the store front clean and tidy the office area was well organized making me feel like I had chosen a professional venue. Facilities were well maintained.

Experience:

Linda was very helpful. I went into the store looking at Rolexes and was impressed with the in store inventory. We had a discussion about what models I was looking for. She asked about my collection to date. We spoke about my interests and the milestones I wanted to recognize with a watch. I communicated some of watches in my wishlist. Despite being some of the most desirable watches she listened attentively and at no point made me feel like they were extremely hard to obtain; although I know they are. We took a quick browse some of the remainder of the stores watch selection including Panerai, preowned watches, and Tudor (there is more these are just what I was interested in looking at). Linda communicated the level of service they can provide on location for Rolexes. I was not aware of this and really pleased since I have been considering sending my watch into Rolex in Dalls which is currently a 10 week endeavor. At no point did I feel any pressure; which I was concerned about when I walked in. Before I departed I was offered a very nice Rolex catalog; which is essentially a great coffee table book. I was really excited!

Follow up:

After leaving, I followed up with Linda asking what a trade might look like for my current watch versus a model I was interested in. She promptly went to work for me and quickly had numbers back for me. Regardless of if I decide to pursue this transaction I thought it was fair and prompt.

In summary:

Wixon is the best there is, by a mile, for Rolex watches. They know their stuff extremely well. I've been around the State, looking for someone that can tell me more about a rather rare Rolex GMT, from the 60's that I've been an heir to receive. Most other Jewelers told me that it was fake, cheap knockoff, or listed everything they thought didn't quite fit, then offer a paltry couple hundred bucks for it. A couple shops outright told me they "couldn't help me" before even looking at this watch, then showed me the door. Some were downright rude. NOT WIXON. John H Carter Jr. has got to be the absolute best sales manager I've ever met. He was warm, listened intently, professional, and direct. He gave me all the options one would need, and left me feeling like their only customer. Let me make it clear, I was dressed down and looked like I had no business being there, yet they never even once acted as though I was any less important than any other customers they may have. I was unable to have the watch authenticated because it takes around an hour and I didn't have the time on that particular day, but I will be coming back for them to finish the process as they are the ONLY ONES I TRUST to take appropriate care while handling this task. Don't waste time or money elsewhere, this is the only place you will ever need. Just WOW! Edit*. I have, since sharing this review, had the delight to visit Wixon Jewelers to finish the process of Authenticating our Rolex. They were able to verify that it was, in fact, authentic. Due to the rarity of the timepiece in question, they also made an offer to purchase the time piece and heirloom from our family. Since the Rolex held no special sentimentality with my family, and was left as an inheritance of sorts, we accepted the offer and couldn't be more pleased. The offer was fair, honest, and substantial considering the fact that only days ago we were being told this watch was fake, and worthless. We knew better, and so did Wixon! The entire process from start to finish was handled with reverance, class, and care.
