Apr 18, 2013 around 11:00 am: Bottom line: This stylist was rude and belligerent. There was no manager on-site to talk to about this. Two thumbs down for this establishment for sure!! Great Clips will not get any business from us...ever!! Here's what happened: Went there with my granddaughter as a walk-in; she wanted to get her hair cut. As far as I could tell, there were two stylists available. One was in the process of giving a hair cut to a young woman. The available stylist came to the counter and took my granddaughter's information (asked if she had been there before, she had not; name, telephone number). She was not friendly (no smile, did not introduce herself, total lack of positive energy and enthusiasm), but not rude either. As they walked to her station, she asked what kind of hair cut my granddaughter wanted, and she told her "...an A Line Bob." The stylist reacted as if she had not heard the term before, and after my granddaughter explained what she wanted the stylist responded quite sarcastically "Do you mean an inverted bob?" Her tone and facial expression at this point were rude and condescending. My granddaughter sat down in her chair and the stylist draped her and began furiously spraying her hair with cool water, and I mean furiously! She paid no attention to where the water was spraying and managed to spray directly into her ear. I wandered over to the station, and asked the stylist if it was okay if I watched her cut my granddaughter's hair, she said "...You can sit right there in the lobby and see what is going on...it makes me nervous to have someone standing right around me..." I said "okay" and began to drift back to the lobby area when I noticed there was a totally empty station behind here with a better view. So, I asked "Is it okay if I sit here?" She replied "What I said was 'in the lobby' but I guess that's okay." Her tone was again rude and condescending and she rolled her eyes at me. At this point, my granddaughter had had enough. She said "Mam, I am sorry, but you are very rude, and I would rather get my hair cut somewhere else." The stylist said "No I am not," and began furiously removing the cape and kept saying "That's fine, that's fine." She threw the neck tissue on the floor as my granddaughter was getting up from the chair, and we simply walked out without saying...
Read moreI don’t really have any words. I walked in requesting a simple trim. I mentioned that i have layers and need the hair throughout my head cleaned up, and maybe an inch off of the bottom. I’d mentioned that i blow dry and straighten my hair. He proceeds to spray the ends of my hair with water. (I have curly hair, and as a hairdresser, you would know that straightened hair reverts back to its curly state when wet). He proceeds to acknowledge that my hair is beginning to curl, and begins chopping away at the ends of my hair. He does not section it. He does not blow dry or straighten it back. He just begins chopping at the now curly ends of my hair. I left the salon looking as pictured in the attached images. I knew that it was going to be bad, but it was worse than I’d imagined when i got home to fix and blow dry my hair. My hair is now about 2 inches shorter & about 5 different lengths. I’m going to have to cut another 2 off I imagine, just to make it even. I don’t understand for a second how this mistake was made, or how i was allowed to walk out of the salon looking this way. Worst hair experience I’ve ever had in my...
Read moreI have been taking my kids here since 08/2018, we walked in today and once they called my kids back they were completely rude. Had my special needs child with me and could see he was struggling so his aide then myself went to check on him and we were both told to sit down and "kids do better if parents wait, not even letting my son speak. After his aide went and come back to sit down and I went over lady rolled her eyes was ride and made a comment about us coming over there, leaned over on the chair waiting rudely. My son would not speak up for himself being sensitive and picking up on this. A little boy came in behind us and the mother informed her she usually had to hold him and she said "they refer to me as the child whisper, put him in the chair and let's just see, its better if parents sit over there" I had a total of four kids cut and not one of them is stright. They are ALL noticeably crooked. Will not return here and would advise to local special needs community to avoid here as well. Poor customer service, poor...
