Disclaimer: I am extremely picky so your experience may be perfectly fine. I usually prefer one restaurant and stick to it as my "safe" food, but we moved 45 mins away from my preferred Chinese restaurant, so I tried to branch out.
I ordered sesame chicken and crab Rangoon - usually safe bets!
The good: the sesame chicken had tender, mostly white meat. Also received a free veggie spring roll, which was generous and not bad at all š The rice was loaded with grilled meat and onions and very hearty.
The bad: these are high prices compared to other Chinese restaurants with a small quantity in exchange. The sauce the sesame chicken was cooked in was...uh, not good at all to me - bitter, when I am used to sweet, and it made me consider if it was spoiled. I had to spit it out and couldn't take another bite. The filling in the Rangoon was average, with very little crab/imitation mixed in the cream cheese and a chewy outside. They come in the triangle shape instead of the wontons pictured on Door Dash.
I do regret placing my order (due to the price especially) and won't visit again, but the tang of their sesame chicken may be just what others are looking for - but not me. I had better luck at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThey literally have the best egg rolls out of any chinese restaurant I go to. I have no idea what they do to them but itās the best thing Iāve ever put in my mouth.
Their fried rice is great. Especially the beef fried. Never had any issues with it.
Chicken wings are passable. Sometimes theyāre good, sometimes theyāre tiny and dried out. YMMV.
The real issue I have is their teriyaki āchickenā on a stick. It just looks weird and tastes weirder with a strange feel to it. Almost like itās not chicken. Iām not sure what meat it is but Iām convinced that itās not chicken and I canāt eat it anymore. Iād suggest you go a couple more minutes up the street to Ten Ten for higher quality food that youāre sure is the meat it is. But come back here for the egg...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI put in a order over the phone for 30 honey wings spring rolls a small lo mein and a small mei fun noodle. I got my order and went home the wings were plain and the mei fun noodle were wrong. They are made with a soy sauce which I don't like so I asked for white sauce so I have plain white noodles. They gave me soy sauce noodles. I called to tell them about it and he said if I come back up there they will fix it. With Hard Scrabble traffic, the time and gas would not have been worth it so instead of saying okay let me get your name and will replace the order the next day there was silence. I know every business is trying to make money but when you totally mess up somebody's order sometimes you have to...
