Do not shop here! Self checkout is confusing because things are weighed and quantities can be keyed in. If you mess up the manager will have you arrested. She yelled at me to show my receipt and I do not owe her the right to see it. She made me feel like a thief before I left the store. It was embarrassing! I was in a hurry. It was my mother’s Birthday. The manager had people in her line and was scanning their items and patrolling self checkout behind her at the same time. It is bad business to be short on staff and one employee yelling at everyone…telling them what to do behind her in self checkout. A person should be available at the self checkout for assistance at all times or it should not be open. The manager at this location should be fired for unprofessional conduct towards customers! Read moreLove the store, but apparently Saturday afternoon is restock time, loaded carts blocking half the aisles today, made shopping a pain, but produce, meats, and cheeses are priced great if you shop the sales. Update: Went today, a Thursday, it was much easier to get through the aisles, but when I went to check out there were no cashiers and had to use the self check. Volume was so low I couldn't hear or understand directions, had to get help 3 different times because 2 items weren't in computerized system, and the security locked for not feeling groceries on tray. (Hubby was packing bags and putting in cart as we went since my cart was FULL.) Needless to say, don't think I'll ever do self check again. Read moreVery disappointed. Went to self checkout at 5 pm and was rudely told that new “ policy” is that self checkout closes at 5 pm. I stood in line to check out with at least 8 other customers. Only one register open. They’ve lost a very good customer.
3/28 I contacted customer service for Lidl and received a message back but obviously the corporate office does not care either about poor customer service and an unhappy customer. I have not gone back since they closed the self check out, but my husband did recently and after 5 o’clock, it remains closed.
