Read the reviews before going in and seemed like it would be the perfect place to get some questions answered and some parts needed for a custom drone I'm working on. One of the reviews even said they had parts for drones. However, First time I went in I didn't really know what I needed and even though I asked many questions, I felt it was like pulling teeth trying to start a conversation about what I was trying to do or getting more info on the parts I would need. They directed me to a maker space to get some answers about what I'm trying to do but unfortunately things fell flat there as well. After spending a month on the internet researching, I bought some parts off amazon and today I was in town again and decided to make another stop in now that I understand the parts I need a little better. Came to find out they actually had many of the parts I ended up just buying online. This store could have easily made $1000 at least off me just by helping me better understand what I needed to get more serious into the hobby. Contrary to that other review, they do not really have everything there for the quad or fpv hobby but they do carry some transmitters, receivers, and batteries you may need. I asked about motors as well but they said they only carry singles so getting 4 seemed to be out of the question. If I was the store owner I would have at least taken the time to explain some of the technology or try to help learn where to get started on finding the necessary info but instead each question asked was cut short and I was told, "yeah I dont know" even though they sell the parts right there. How can you sell all these components and not know anything about them yet tell me that you've been in the hobby for many years? I guess this is why everyone is just buying online now and most stores are closing down... Guess I'll just go back to browsing Amazon and other hobby online shops instead of wasting gas and time from now on. Only reason I didn't give it one star is they do carry parts you may need and the store is set up pretty nice. Just wish there was better help there or even just offer to order the parts I need if they don't currently have it in stock! It just seemed like the guy who worked there was just annoyed that I was even bothering him with questions. I hope this isn't the owner I spoke with because if so he's a horrible salesman and needs to hire someone...
Read moreI purchased a traxxas truck, battery charger and Nicad battery in June 2022 from this store. Charged and used the battery twice in the truck. Now It is no longer charging. I went back to the store with the receipt and they refused to exchange the battery, said traxxas wouldn’t warranty the battery? I didn’t purchase the battery from traxxas, I purchased it from the store. They should of just exchanged the battery and handled whatever warranty process they have to with traxxas but instead the employee acted like he had nothing to do with it and it was completely my issue to resolve with traxxas, not the store’s responsibility even though that’s where I purchased it? Will never buy anything else from this...
