Mizu Sushi Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Boardman

My wife, myself and our son have went here for years. We used to carry beer in to their old location and get sushi all the time! My wife and I have great memories of the sushi wood ship brought out to us and everything. Anyway, we like it here.

We came here for dinner and my wife and I ordered scallops and fillet mignon hibachi dinners, our son ordered a chicken hibachi dinner and all of us ordered a fair amount of sushi too. $125 bill.

My wife took a bite or two of her fillet and it was extremely chewy and fatty. Not fillet. The waitress came by for drinks and my wife answered her question about how things were and told the waitress that her fillet wasn’t very good.

The waitress had the cook come out, who actually proceeded to take his cell phone out and google pictures of “bargain” fillet mignon. He said they didn’t use good quality fillet and that was the reason.

No apologies at all. The manager/chef guy just kept standing next to us, with plenty of other people inside eating, and telling us they get similar steaks to sams club and other bargain places. He said we should choose a steak house for a good quality fillet.

I’m not making this up. We didn’t even want to have our food taken back or anything, she still wanted to eat her food! I paid my full bill at the register after the 10 minute fiasco, and still no one was nice at all and apologized about their terrible steak that we ordered and paid for. Crazy.

We’ve been there, or gotten take out for about 10 years straight. Haven’t went back...

We have eaten here twice. We arrived at 6:30 and were seated right away. Our salads arrived quickly and were delicious. They have an excellent dressing on their green salad and the lettuce was fresh. We ordered calamari as our appetizer and it was good but a bit over cooked. It tasted good and the sauce had a good taste. Our sushi was good but one of our rolls was falling apart. It doesn’t seem to have been wrapped right enough. The steak hibachi dinner was delicious. My youngest is picky, so he ordered the chicken tempura appetizer. He really enjoyed it. The tempura veggies were some of the best I have eaten. Our waiter was attentive and kind. Overall good experience.

On a side note, my son and husband complained the men’s restroom was disgusting. I didn’t visit the ladies room, but I usually tend to worry about the kitchen cleanliness if the...

Unfortunately I did not get pictures of our food like I usually do I am very sorry. But believes that the advertisements and pictures are exactly what the food very professional kitchen!

If you have someone who does not necessarily eat sushi there are steamed and fried rice options. The fried rice at this establishment is very well prepared.

The portions are huge. This was my second time there and I cannot comment on the deserts because I was so full I could not get dessert. I would say $15 to $22 is the average cost of a meal. And most people will be taking some home.

The Sake that I got last time was absolutely phenomenal! The particular Sake that I got came in a bottle and for a traditional Sake drinker I was very very pleased.
