UPDATED - The missing star is for the customer service line out of the company's corporate office and not for the Boardman store or Boardman store personnel. On 1/23 I picked up a curbside order at the Boardman store placed the prior day and it was during a snow storm and staff at the store assisting with the curbside pickup were great. On 1/23 after picking up my order and noticing there were some missing items I was charged for ad price discrepancies, I called the customer service number and was on hold nearly 12 minutes when someone answered and then said they could not assist and placed me back on hold. I held for another 14 minutes before a representative answered 27.5 minutes into my call. The representative from the customer service line who did answer eventually lacked any empathy and did not promptly address my questions and was rude cutting me off and did not resolve the issues, including adequately addressing the needed refund. Two days later after I submitted my initial Google review, contacted Meijer Corp online and two surveys later, I was contacted by the Boardman store digital team leader, Jill. Note: this is not the same representative I referred to above on the customer service line. Jill was wonderful. She was professional, listened and promptly addressed my concerns. She even went above and beyond and sent a detailed email after 9 p.m. on 1/25 to let me know about the refund and how they appreciate my business. As of this morning (1/27) the refund has been received. The quality of the items I received from curbside from the Boardman store including carefully selected produce, were wonderful, as was Jill and her team. Read moreEvery time I've ordered anything from their bakery...an this has happened twice, I won't be back for a third time... they have lost my order, & they sold my order to someone else.. Then they are so rude to the point of arguing with me over their rudeness... then in a febol attempt to save face for themselves & their store,they gave me a discount after I had to stand an wait over an hour to have my order remade & the second time they made part of my order after it was lost an then only made half of it and again I had to wait & this waiting was on the day of pickup...then argue with me about it all ...unprofessional... unacceptable & very disrespectful.... you know when your in the hurry to go to the party...an ya have no more time for these errors...their actions are affecting our events... They almost ruined our very important once in a life time events, for our family ...a gender reveal party and a baby shower.... we couldn't careless about the $8.00 discount... get it right the 1st time an that would make all the difference to everyone & don't be rude, you chose to be in that store & you chose your profession,...
Read moreMy fiance and I love to shop here. Although I must admit that we shop the items mostly from the weekly ad. They offer great sales, where you can save a lot of money! The meat department is our favorite shopping stop, because of the awesome deals they offer there, and the meat department personel is always on duty whenever we shop, and they are extremely friendly and helpful with any help you may need. The store is extremely large, so give yourself some time to check everything out! Very clean store, and very helpful staff throughout the entire store. It offers something for everyone, and also has an excellent selection to choose from for all of your shopping needs and wants. And be prepared to find items that are hard to find, because we always do! Stop in and check out for yourself! I believe you will be surprised by what you find. I would also like to add that their store brand is of a very good quality, so try for yourself, and I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised!
