If you've never lived in the Pittsburgh, Western Pennsylvania or Eastern Ohio area then you wouldn't know that there are several family owned and operated chocolate companies that produce some of the best chocolate products in the country. Philadelphia Candies is one of the oldest and most sought after as they have great products. All of their candy is great but, the Cordial Strawberries (not just dipped berries) are a luxurious treat that must be tried. I remember them from my childhood. Finding them 50 years later still as large (up to two inches across and nearly three inches tall each) and just a delicious with an extremely thick chocolate shell and luscious liquid center suspending a whole ripe strawberry just as I remember them, has been a wonderful and unexpected delight for my entire family.
