I have been shopping here for years. I found the store to be clean and have a variety of items. In the last 30 days we purchased Chihuahua cheese from this location and it was spoiled. The first time I went to the manager and showed him the cheese and the dish I was making that was ruined. He refunded me for the items. He kept the receipt and stated it must be the distributor sending the cheese to them like that. The second time within in 2 weeks I had the same result. I contacted Fiesta Market via email and did not get a response. I contacted the cheese company and got a response within 2 days. Last night I decided to cook shrimp I bought from the Fiesta. IT was in the freezer and thawing out. When I was ready to cook the shrimp I peeled part of the shell and it smelled like vinegar!!! I never smelled something so awful. I have also purchased seasoned meat for tacos that was not fresh. I try to support local smaller businesses with my patronage. I also believe if a problem continues to happen it is not a problem but a part of their policy/practice. I sent an email to Fiesta Market regarding the cheese and they never responded. I will never purchase...
Read moreFiesta Market in Bolingbrook meat department scam. Be careful. Today, I went to this store to buy chicken to make chicken soup. I asked one of the guys behind the counter in the meat department if he could give me two pieces of the chicken leg quarters but to shop each piece in 3 parts. He told me there is a $.98 extra charge to shop the chicken in pieces. I asked him to call the manager to see if this was true. The manager came and told me the same thing. Mind you, I had bought the same chicken pieces before without extra charges. Hence my surprise when I heard about the extra charge. I left the store without buying the chicken and went to Tony’s three minutes down the street where I bought the chicken without any extra charges for cutting it. Thank you Tony’s Fresh Market! Avoid going to Fiesta Market in Bolingbrook if you can. I highly recommend Tony’s Fresh Market in...
Read moreI love the cashiers there. The women are so warm and attentive. Always saying hello to me. I signed up for their rewards. Super easy.
The only downside is their male staff, especially the guys in the back that work with meats. I'm a woman, young, and I like to grocery shop in a place where I feel safe and comfortable. I absolutely dislike with a passion that the men in the back stare at me like a piece of meat. It triggers me like no other. I stand my ground and stare them right back. I mean-mug the heck out of them. One of these days, the wrong guy will be looking at me, and that will be the day I become verbal about it and tell him off in front of everyone. I do not care if everyone and their mom is there as a witness. Enough is enough! It's 2023! Women should feel safe to be out in public...
