I would like to preface this review by mentioning that it may be lengthy, but I believe providing all the details is necessary to adequately describe the situation. Having lived in Bonita Springs for 37 years, I have seen many businesses come and go. I often passed by Victoria's Boutique, assuming it was geared toward tourists and the older population. My initial impression was proven wrong when a friend gifted me a visit to the store. The boutique itself offers a delightful array of fashion and accessories, showcasing beautiful and eclectic items. However, the charm of the store is overshadowed by the owner's deplorable attitude. On my first visit, I was impressed by the hand-painted sweaters, t-shirts, and elegant lines from Italy. I made a purchase exceeding $200, including a beautiful hand-painted sweater by Victoria herself. Initially, Victoria seemed sweet and helpful, especially when advising me on caring for the sweater. Despite following her washing instructions precisely, the sweater pilled terribly after just one wash. During a subsequent visit with a friend, I attempted to address the issue with Victoria, only to encounter her true character. When I presented the pilled sweater and requested an exchange, Victoria accused me of having put the sweater in the dryer. Despite my assurances to the contrary, she repeatedly insisted that it had been put in the dryer, and basically called me a liar in front of other customers, refusing to exchange the sweater. I clarified that my primary concern was the unsightly pilling, not the alleged shrinking. This accusation was not only unfounded but also deeply embarrassing. Victoria's refusal to acknowledge the defective sweater and her insistence on publicly shaming me was not just unprofessional but downright nasty. Her behavior stood in stark contrast to the boutique's otherwise charming atmosphere. As a former retail store owner, I understand the importance of customer satisfaction and the need for reputable manufacturers to stand behind their products. Victoria's unwillingness to replace the sweater, despite the clear evidence on the washing instructions stating it was pre-shrunk, was both baffling and infuriating. Her hostility continued when I confronted her with the information about the pre-shrunk label. Instead of addressing the issue, Victoria insulted me, claiming that a new sweater would not make me happy. This interaction revealed an ugliness in her character that overshadowed the boutique's offerings. While Victoria's Boutique may present an appealing facade, the owner's unprofessional and hostile behavior is a significant detractor. My experience with Victoria was deeply disappointing, and I cannot recommend the store to others. This review aims to highlight the importance of not just the products a business offers but also the integrity and professionalism of those who run it. I will never step foot in Victoria's Boutique again, and I hope this serves as a cautionary tale for...
Read moreFor those of you that know Victoria, or maybe don’t know her; I’d like to tell you about the version of Victoria that I’ve come to know. My family and I recently traveled to Florida to visit my father, sister, and her family. My kids and I hadn’t seen them for almost two years, mainly because of Covid. Once the majority of us were vaccinated we headed down to Florida to stay in our camper. We set the camper up in my sister’s enormous driveway. This driveway just happened to be two doors down from Victoria’s home residence. You can imagine my surprise (and my entire family’s) when two days after arriving, the City of Bonita was sent out because of a complaint. What was the complaint you may ask? My camper. It appeared that Victoria and her husband, Greg, didn’t like “the trash from up north moving in”. It was an eye sore to them. After the city deemed that we had done nothing wrong, they began daily harassment of my sister’s landlord. Victoria and the neighbor between us took numerous pictures of myself and my kids without our knowledge. They sent these pictures, along with hateful lies, to my sister’s landlord. Again, why? Because Victoria, her husband, and their entire posse are rich, white, and above all else...entitled. What was supposed to be a relaxing trip to visit my father soon became a nightmare. My kids and I were constantly walking on eggshells waiting for the city to come back. Waiting on you guys to yell at them for something silly. Well Victoria and Greg, you won. You complained enough, used your best Karen voices, and won. My sister’s landlord was so stressed by your CONSTANT harassment that you single-handedly uprooted an entire family in the middle of a pandemic and got them kicked out. Does hearing that make you feel all warm and tingly? Are you happy? My sister, brother-in-law, their kids, and my dad don’t know what their future will look like because of you. My heart breaks for them. I’ll probably carry that guilt of visiting them forever. One positive that’s came out of this, I suppose, is that you’ve been a shining example to my children on how to not be decent human beings. They feel sorry for you both. They don’t understand how someone could have so much hatred and negativity in their hearts. I hope that anyone reading this will think twice about the person/people that you’re supporting when you go into her place of business. Maybe it jives with you, and that’s fine. I had to speak my truth and this was the only...
Read moreI experienced this unique store yesterday 4/2/25 eyes wide open . I purchased something off the sale rack of which sale it was not . The store was packed with women everywhere very electrifying. Never tried the item on …. Did I mention the store was packed . Tried on when I arrived home, it was too small. I thought no big deal I will drive back and return it. Upon my return I presented the original receipt tag still attached. The RUDE women that helped me told me we don’t accept returns on final sale.???? Again RUDE women no signs anywhere stating this . When she yes the very RUDE owner Victoria realizes they changed me full price changed her toon slightly.proceeded to ask me if I would like to repurchase it at the sale price?? Still acting very condescending towards me. My reply was no thank you , you can refund my credit card. She the RUDE owner reply’s we don’t do that here only store credit…. Again no signs stating that !! As she the VERY RUDE OWNER proceeded to point it out on the receipt. So if I have never been in the store nor are there signs stating this . How would anyone know this . I have been a business owner and the customer is who keeps a business open. I would never recommend anyone to this establishment based on rudeness. As she was smugly sharing her business rules to me with a store full of customers trying to embarrass me another customer spoke up and said a few words to her. Victoria you had all the power to refund me as the owner of your establishment....
