Got my rear left tire replaced by the shop after I got a nail stuck in the sidewall, about 19 days ago, the service was good and fast and well everything seemed fine when I left the shop. Few days later I started noticing the PSI on that same tire was not jiving with the others chalked it up to unbalanced as I only got the one (not my car and owner just wanted to get the one). A week goes by as the car seats parked and when I get to move it I see that I have lost a lot of the air not fully flat. Anyhow, long story short after having AAA come, they found another nail in the same rear left tire Bordentown Mavis had replaced. Now, not a mathematician but I know enough to know that probability of getting nails in same tires within a 19 day window is nearly impossible (probably will play lotto this weekend just to see if my luck turns the other way). I reached out the Mavis and spoke to Assistant Manager Tim who was polite but unhelpful. He said that as I have declined the roadside hazard warranty extension and repair or replacement of the tire would come out of my pocket. I was willing to meet them in the middle and pickup service with them providing a new tire but Tim was not having it and said it was not their fault. Grant him that but again I go back to probability and well maybe something more nefarious might be going on here. If the manager reads this and feels that something can be done Tim has my number. PS....After my review I was contacted by Chris the manager and he was very helpful and we came to a satisfactory resolution. Thanks to him and rest of the team at...
Read moreCrooks. Really need a zero star for these people. While on vacation in Jersey I noticed my rear tires were really worn, and as we had long drive home , we walked into Bordentown to see what, if anything , they could do to help us. Imagine our delight when we were told we could have the the 2 tires changed with an alignment within 2 hours, and we could have breakfast at Dennys almost next door to boot!! So we happily paid our $650 plus invoice and drove home ...the next day my boyfiend notices one of the rear wheels was "toe out" Then he said it was weird we never received a computer print out, but maybe they just didn't offer that. Then we started looking at the bill more closely and we noticed the invoice stated 2 alignments. Thinking it was a genuine mistake, or maybe 2 alignments for the two front and two rear tires, we stopped into the Stone Ridge store. There we found that not only we were indeed charged twice for the alignment, the alignment WAS NOT DONE!!! and , the replacement valve stems replacement, another line charge, were not replaced. Thats 4 items on the invoice, charged for, and not done. Then if you start looking more closely there are such items as store accessories....huh? I have to pay for the rags you use? We are still dealing with customer service, we called Bordentown and asked that what was going on only to be told that I had never taken my car there, and then I was laughed at when they agreed I had been charged twice. Anyway, we are still waiting to have this issue...
Read moreBy far the worst shop I’ve ever been to. It amazes me these shops hire these people who mess up so bad and say anything that comes to mind. My mother came for two rear Tires and an alignment. Once she came to pick up her car the workers at the front desk said they broke the tpms sensor and said they couldn’t do her alignment. After receiving her car the rim was damaged and her hubcap was ripped. A week later driving on the high way one of the new tire got a flat with no puncture we had to pay road side service to fix the tire it was not holding air. At the end of the night when we got home the tire was still loosing air. We took it back to the shop and the manager called and told up the rim was cracked when we got to the shop the same guy said to us you can take it to a repair shop to see if it’s cracked. We responded saying he said it was cracked and he changed his words to I believe it’s cracked. We asked if he could confirm it and he told us he’s not a rim specialist I took the rim to my old shop I use to work at to confirm that it was not cracked it’s not rocket science to confirm a cracked rim. We got a new tire at r.w. And they confirmed that Mavis mounted the tire wrong and put a gash in it. The district manager refunded us for the tires road side and the new tire we had to buy. I’ve been working in a shop for the past 5 years and not once have I’ve seen a...
