I must first start with the fact that I have been a customer of Sam's for almost 30 years. I usually order on the phone so that they may process my order at their convenience. When I called this time they informed they were not taking orders due to the covid 19, understandable but not convenient. I order about twice a month and over 30 years I would call me a loyal customer. I came in to give them my order, which is almost always the same, and was met with rudeness and a ugly attitude. When asked to package my order in amounts that I always do, which are four one lb packages of hamburger and three chicken breast per package. I do not feel like these are unreasonable requests and one I have made many many times! I was told they would not due that for me because they were hungry and wanted lunch! This was at 11.36. They told me I didn't understand what they had been going through and I replied they didn't understand what I had been through,my husband recovery from open heart surgery in this stressful times. I was not rude but was met with hatefulness and refusal of my purchase. I've never been treated like this before anywhere and in a time everyone is telling you to support local business I will never shop there again. I hope whoever reads this and you are a client of Sam's, you will tell them this is no way to treat anyone, anytime even when you have been in business this long. I'm crushed and will never darker their doors again! Sometimes shopping the big box stores are better, at least they want...
Read moreMy husband and I have shopped here many times. Always happy with the service and the meat. Until Saturday we went to get jerky meat and lunch meats. And were kind of treated crappy. They asked what we wanted and were told next time we need to pre order for slicing on jerky but they went ahead and sliced it. Lady was mad because they had already cleaned the slicer. They asked again anything else? We asked for ham sliced, again was told somehow we needed to pre order and it really made us uncomfortable and then got a speech on meat slicers and cleanliness And somehow we were ruining this.? This was 3hrs before closing and tried to make us feel bad for them having to cut meat. That's their job. Again we have gone here for years. I can't say how disappointed we were. I think we've decided to not return. What a shame... I like supporting...
Read moreThe experience I had was pleasant until I saw the weight of the cuts that were being weighed, 3.69, 3.5 etc it was supposed to be 4 pounds. I ordered the 300$ Freezer special and keep in mind what was advertised was 44 pounds. I told Michelle and she justified it saying the paper weighed as well and they gave me brats and chicken that's weighed more (I didn't see that) So I was shorted on on steaks and prime ribs and was supposedly given more on cheaper meats. After working 14 hours I just wanted to go home. After weighing it at home and with the weight of paper in mind I got 38.4 in meat out of the 44 advertised meat weight, that's 1/9 of my order I was cheated out of. So I write this as a warning to other customers keep an eye on your purchases so you don't get treated...
