The Doggy Port — Local services in Boston

As if I didn’t already have the best things to say about this place, they literally saved my dogs life yesterday. I have used this location for dog walking, grooming, and boarding while out of town. Yesterday, I booked a walk for my dog and the unthinkable happened. The man who came to walk Lily walked into my apartment covered in blood. My dog had scratched a tumor on her face and split it open. He called me immediately until I answered and sent me pictures (which I will spare you all from). He stayed with her until my friend could get there and kept her safe and calm during that time. As if that wasn’t enough, they checked in multiple times after I rushed her to the ER Vet. Today, after a hellish night in the ER, they made room to give her a full grooming bath to make sure she could look as beautiful as she normally does. I would trust anyone at this location with Lily. She loves them and it genuinely feels like they love her as much as I do. I am eternally grateful for the actions they took during an emergency and their kindness afterwards. I already recommended this place to everyone, but now I just want to shout it from the rooftops!!! You couldn’t pick a better place for dog walking, grooming, daycare, or boarding. They are truly...

Opens at 7AM for an appointment at 8AM. Currently waiting outside and no one is available. First time going here and I’m extremely concerned about the staff that works here. I want to be sure I can at the very least talk to the groomer and go over the details on how I want the dog to be cared for. Not sure if they canceled the appointment without my knowledge but I am waiting outside until they open up.

Edit: Was able to get the dog for her appointment she is a malamute mix and it’s in the middle of August so I am expecting a short style hair cut BUT instead when I picked her up I noticed she didn’t get a full hair cut just a trim.

The lady who handled my dog initially also proceeded to handle the cashier as well and failed to give me the receipt. The price came out to $140 which is a lot higher than I had paid in other venues. I received a call from the manager to go over my complaint and was notified that I would get a dog treat on the way out, that did not happen as well. Just a terrible...

My mother has a senior dog and has been taking him to Saugus to get groomed. I wanted to find something closer for her being that she resides in Chelsea. I found Dog Port through some online searching. I read some reviews and it seemed like a nice place- we took a risk. And we were not disappointed! I love businesses that are inclusive and offer many forms of communication. I texted the number listed on their website and asked a few questions. I got a quick response and created a profile online. From the moment we got there Juan was so kind! He spoke Spanish which was a plus for my mother. He asked about our dogs needs and if he should be mindful of anything in particular and assured us he would take care of him. When my mom picked up her dog, she was so happy! He looked so cute and well taken care of. We are so glad to have found a groomer close to home that provides great service, bilingual, and professional. We are excited to keep doing business...
