Cactus Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Boston

So the waitress was good. I was there about 11:45.. so I was expecting FRESH FOOD..which I got because my food choices were not from the buffet. The food on the buffet did not look fresh to me . I had the house special plate.. the chicken and steak were ok.. I asked for yellow rice because on the buffet they had white rice and rice and beans together and neither option looked fresh or good. I don't eat seafood but did try the shrimps that came on the plate but I'm not going to judge those because I don't eat shrimp and have nothing to compare it to. The guacamole and chips was absolutely disgusting which was very disappointing because I LOVE GUACAMOLE & CHIPS!! That was the main reason I picked this restaurant (because they have guacamole and chips) so for it to be so nasty was a disappointment.The guacamole is very watery with too much onion. The chips were stale and lack salt. The price was right along the average price for East Boston area Mexican/ Hispanic...

I ordered a quesadilla and asked what came on it. I agreed it sounded fine, but when it was made, the server put very little cheese on it and added guacamole—even though I told her I am allergic. When I reminded her, she pulled it off with her gloved hands. I asked her to change gloves because of my allergy, and she rolled her eyes, used the same tongs, and didn’t even let the cheese melt before throwing it on my plate.

The woman at the register told her to remake it, but even then, the quesadilla had almost no cheese, was undercooked, and fell apart when I tried to eat it. For $12, I got food I couldn’t eat and terrible service. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience here—it happens almost every time I go.

The food is good, but the service is below average. I order my steak nachos (8.00) I go up to the register and tell them I got steak nachos, she repeats it back to me and I hand her a 20. She hands me back 10.38, obviously overcharged me but whatever I enjoy the nachos. When my nachos are done I am waiting for them at the counter where she proceeds to tell me the total (8.56), now I know she definitely overcharged me as (20-8.56=11.44). I inform her that I literally just paid her and she gives me a confused look, I explain that I just told her what I was getting and handed her a 20 she goes "oh.." then brushes me off to which I grab my food and get on with my day.
