I usually don’t write reviews; however, I was so disturbed by the lack of customer service I received today. During Easter weekend, the regional manager offered to sell my husband and me a floor sample and accent chair for a specific amount. When I came back into the store, Karen was my sales associate, and I inquired about the same couch but the matching chair. Karen and the store manager confirmed the same specific price. I then acquired about the same couch with the accent chair from the previous weekend. Karen said her manager was unwilling to sell it without the matching chair. I asked to speak with the manager because I wanted to inform her of my conversation with the regional manager. She said I could not talk to the manager because she was in a meeting. I then asked if they could contact the regional manager. She told me they could not, but I could go home and contact him. I asked what the difference is in the store confirming the price and me confirming it from home. I then said if I go home and come back to the store, I don’t believe they should get the commission because they are unhelpful. At that point, Karen became upset. She called the manager on the phone, and she came out instantly (but she was in a meeting). The manager said that she was attempting to contact the regional manager to verify the information I shared. She then said that she could not honor the floor sample sale if she sold the couch to me with the accent chair. I expressed to her that the regional manager had said I could come back if I changed my mind and that he could honor the price. She said she would continue to call him, and we left the store. The store manager called my husband and later said that she spoke to the regional manager and that he confirmed she could sell the couch with the accent chair, but she would have to charge us a higher price. They have been trying to sell this same floor sample since September of 2020 at a sale rate, and she wanted me to pay a higher price, although the regional manager gave me a lower price. I have never experienced a furniture sale associate and manager incapable of honoring the price of the regional manager. Furthermore, when I said I was disinterested, their disposition changed and became unpleasant. Furthermore, Karen lied about contacting the manager or the regional manager. Read moreAs a note, we ordered most of the furniture on LABOR DAY and it was in stock and reserved (supposedly, it's a little fishy).While we LOVED our experience shopping, and our bed set that was ordered at a later date was delivered on time that we love (again, a little fishy) we are not satisfied with the sofa, rug and ottoman that was ordered back on Labor Day, and still has not been delivered. We moved into our house before Thanksgiving (2020), with all of the furniture that was not custom, and in stock, to be delivered a week prior. We were not notified until we checked the portal the weekend prior to the move that delivery was no longer scheduled after we watched the rep place the delivery date and confirm it's in stock. We reached out to our sales rep, who only then told us 'oh, yes things are delayed, it is not available to ship until the new year'. We were notified that there is nothing they can do, and nothing can be scheduled for delivery until the new year. We then asked if there is anything our rep can do, and they mentioned they would see if we can get any additional rebates but we have not heard back. This was all ordered in September with communication ending in early November. We spent close to $10,000 dollars with Haverty's for this order and have received only about 40% of what was paid for, yet everything is in stock. We are completely understanding of COVID and the stress this has put on the company, supply chain and employees, but the lack of communication is just unacceptable when we purposely bought items in stock to be delivered before we moved. AGAIN, they have great furniture and employees, but this was a BIG miss and the ball was dropped on this one. We have painters and other projects on hold because of this. HIGHLY disappointed. Please make sure to stay on top of your rep and their manager at this location.
We ordered other furniture from a different company a couple weeks later (local) that were honest with their delivery and have kept us up to date on where we slot in the system. We have not received it yet, but there is hope and a light at the end of the tunnel with them, unlike...

Frustrating experience buying a bunk bed for my daughter. Upon delivery, the delivery guys said they shipped the incorrect screws so they were unable to put it together, leaving everything in the packaging it came in in my home. Customer service refused to schedule a new appointment until the correct screws arrived which took ~4 days. When I called to schedule an appointment to put it together, the next available appointment was 3 weeks away. Today, 1 guy showed up for a 2-man job and said this was a delivery issue, not a repair issue and he didn't know how to put it together. I'm currently waiting on their system to update so I can schedule the next appointment to put it together. This will effectively be a 3-month process from buying it in the store to getting it put together.
I'm actively refusing to buy other furniture pieces I need for my home (sofa, bed #2) from Havertys due to this experience.
Edit: 8/18. Haverty's sent out their team for a 3rd time to my house today to put the trundle bed together. The delivery people said the warehouse shipped the wrong parts *again. The bed is still in pieces and I'm waiting on customer service to call me back to rechedule a 4th team to come out with the correct parts.
*Update 8/26. Scheduled a pickup of the bed that is still unassembled so I could get a refund. The scheduled time was 9:30-11:30am today. They called at 8:30am said they were running behind and would be here 2:30-3:30pm.
