Bob Evans — Restaurant in Bowie

Our server greeted us warmly, was inviting, knowledgeable and very attentive. Excellent service, and we tipped her $16.00 on $30.00! As for the young lite completed African American woman at the door, she was RUDE, ARROGANT, DISRESPECTFUL and FLIPPY to customers. She played with her long hair like a child looking for attention. She was flipping it and swinging it around like a Pantene Commercial. She even argued with a Vietnam Veteran, which if she had any respect for herself, the stuggle that that grandfather had to endore for her freedom, or Bob Evans Corp, she would have never acted this way. And to have argued with a mother in front of her daughter about sitting them, again should not have taken place. As she sat each of us at our perspective tables (sat 3 tables at once), she stopped, dropped the menus, swinging her hair and walked away. We weren't shown any respect AT ALL! She even did a spin around (Michael Jackson Style) dance near the cash register, as the manager (Young caucasian man) smiled and was in what appeared to be an attractive state of mind for her. I even addressed these issues with him, and he disregarded me completely. Suggestion: Someone from corporate should check out the restaurant when no one knows who you are, or pay someone like me who knows Customer...

Go to IHOP and avoid it here - they could care less about you.

Visit 2/16/2025 Place isn't what it used to be. I was sitting at a table with syrup on it; I asked for it to be wiped down, and the table was left soaked in water. The waitress seemed angry at my daughter and me when we ordered water. After receiving our food, our waitress never checked on us again. My son wanted tea but changed his mind. I needed syrup and another water. Our waitress checked the table in front of us three times, but not us. I am not sure why; we were polite. I asked her name, and she didn't like the water order; maybe it's because we were white (felt that way from her) we did nothing wrong. We left church, talked about the bible, my sons work and daughters school. I got up and asked a guy behind the counter for the syrup to finish my meal (I tipped him, not our waitress). Ruined breakfast with kids after church.

Don't order soup from here, noodles are very soggy my daughter said.

Something has changed with this particular location. Please be careful when ordering carry out because lately they have been doing a poor job ensuring that all items are in the bag. Also, they have become very stingy with the portions. I received a half of a scoop of mashed potatoes and two tablespoons of green beans and my rolls were missing.This happened two consecutive times and when I called to complain I was told this was due to Covid. Really?? In 2022? The manager took my name and said when I come in the next time I would get a free meal. I went in two weeks later they had no record of my name or me getting a free meal, so I paid and got home had no bread. When I called to speak to the manager, she came to the phone and I told her the issue and she put me on hold for twenty minutes. I hung up and called back and was put on hold another 15 and she never came back to the phone. I only patronize this place because my 86 year old father likes their food.
