If I could give No stars then I wouldn’t even give them that! The male manager of that store is an complete and absolute jerk. And I would never under any condition make another purchase from there. I had issues with my couch from day one and told them about it from the start. I had already waited for weeks for it to come. I told them I wanted to exchange and they tried to charge me a $600👀 restock fee👀 for a couch that was damaged on both ends! Super rude General manager was combative and hard to deal with through the entire process. At the end of the day I had to pay over $400 more for a cheaper couch, just get them to exchange them out. Then when they delivered the new couch the broke property on my porch but wouldn’t pay my “restock” fee! And only paid for partial of the damage. The Gm didn’t like it when the 👞 was on the other foot and called me personally after I told him the price of the damage, he was super rude to me about it saying he was only gonna pay for partial, or he wouldn’t pay for anything at all. This guy should not be in a management position. Super jerk and super rude So BEWARE!!! If you have a problem there they are going to try to snake you out of more money, if it leaves with you or you have delivered and there’s a problem you will be stuck in it or charged a RIDICULOUS FEE! Only one lady name April was helpful and I thank her for that, but her boss is a tyrant so her hands were tied.Did I mention that the head guy there is super rude and unhelpful? Spoke to me as if I was a nobody in a threatening manner because he was holding the cards and already had my money. This was not my first purchase there but it was my last. I didn’t even buy the warranty this time bc I never want to have to deal with them again. Buyers Beware of this place. Sorry April you deserve better management. Zero stars for me! Note they did offer to fix the original broken couch but when you just paid $2000 for a couch why would I want a fixer upper???? I want a brand new $2000 couch with no damage. Wouldn’t you? I had several people sit on the ends of that couch to make sure it was indeed damaged and I let them know a day or two after purchase that it was damaged. It took them forever to replace. And my flower pot was a custom pot that can be replaced and it was part of a set. normal size pot not coffee size. And plant was more valuable than the pot but he said take it or leave it. No gonna wast a lot of time with this guy but he is lying about the whole ordeal. And the couch was in fact damaged. Why would I take a smaller cheaper couch and loose money to have it replaced??? John your apology is not acceptable or accepted! You get on here and lie about the whole situation and have the nerve to apologize??? You know where you can stick that. You came out ahead on me but I hope you don’t continue to do that with your future customers. I have witnesses than can attest to the damages. The nightmare began with the scheduling of delivery of my 12 or so pieces. I was quoted one price and then asked to pay another when it came time for delivery. As soon as I mention this to the rep I was immediately placed on hold to speak to the manager John. (and when i say immediately it was like the rep knew the exact procedure for when a customer complains that he was quoted one price and then asked to pay another....like it happens often) John is a nightmare. He explains to me his job and how no one would ever quote this price actually calls me a liar......exact words...then proceeds to tell me how busy that he is. When I finally get to the end of this lecture I tell John that he owes me and apology and ask if I can tell him exactly what I was told. Johns response...sure followed by the sound of the phone being thrown against the desk and then silence while I continually ask, "Hello?"
I called back at once and told the first person who answered the phone that I need to speak with John's boss. This is the the exchange
-I am John and I don't have a boss.
-Are you the owner?
-I manage the store.
-Then who's above you? How do I speak with the owners?
-(dead air)
-Someone signs your checks I think that person deserves to know how you are treating the customers here.
-I sign my own checks
It went on from there with his refusing to give me a superiors name and saying nothing when I asked the question "how do i file a formal complaint with your company."
After 30 minutes of this nonsense I finally come to the agreement with JOHN that i will haul and assemble all of the furniture and he can deliver the couch to me for the rate that was quoted me to haul and assemble all of it. (guess we see where that value is bought from....the customers back)
So 10 days later my couches are set to be delivered. Delivery crew very friendly but left 4 holes in my wall the largest about the size of an orange. Im told to call FMO and they will have it repaired.
I say to these guys please tell me I dont have to speak with John. Their response was laughing and shaking their head almost as if to say ya we hear that a lot.
i call John another rude conversation is kept brief (more bc he remembered my name than he was mad about the wall) and he is sending over the guy they have on staff that fixes things they mess up when they move things in.
Two points on that. 1)they beat up peoples walls so badly they keep a man on staff to fix the things they mess up. 2) I guess to keep this man on staff im starting to understand why they bait and switch on their quoted rates.
The guy they sent out to fix the holes was very nice. Very accommodating to my schedule and did a good job patching the holes. At the end I asked if he was going to come back and paint. Thats apparently my responsibility. The guy tells me nicely that I can call up to the store and talk to John and see if there's anything else they can do. Exhausted from dealing with John i found myself painting my walls.
Look its great value but the execution is poor. All told i ended up spending around 400-500 more than I was told on the day of purchase and JOHN couldnt care less.
Save yourself the headache. Go somewhere that has customer service standards. Im telling every one this story because i gave them half a dozen opportunities to make it right and they...
Read moreLet’s start back on may 9th we went in and purchased 4500 worth of furniture. New living room furniture, new king bedroom furniture, kitchen table and chairs plus 2 more chairs for the counter top bar and our son a bunk bed. They didn’t have the bunk bed in stock and the floor model was damaged so there they had to order it. The catnapper living room furniture they had was the floor model and we wanted it new, so they had to order it, well they said they would order everything brand new and nothing would be a floor model. They said everything would be in, in 7 -14 days on the 14th day we call because we haven’t heard anything from them. When we call I get told that it will be 6/5 before anything ships. I told my husband he called and they said they would have to charge an extra delivery fee to split up the items. He asked for a refund because it was going to be a month and they tried to tell him that it would be a 30% restock fee if we canceled the order. Fast forward to today 5/29 we get our bedroom furniture and our living room furniture but not the bunk bed or the kitchen furniture. We got to looking At the living room furniture and found out that it was the floor model we called back up there and they claimed that it was not the floor model when they told everything would arrive in boxes they tried to say boxes was damaged that’s why they were not in a box I got to look at the furniture and seen where they had clipped the price tags off of the loveseat and recliner they left the clear plastic tag hanger on (I have pictures from when we went to the store and picked everything out I looked back and the price tags was in the same spot) so there for they lied!!! Our bedroom furniture was the only thing that came in the boxes. We still will not get our kitchen table and chairs till after 5/6 and now they are saying the bunk bed will not be here till 6/17 that’s over a month AFTER WE ORDERED ON 5/9. So i wish it was where I could not give them a star they don’t deserve one star their customer service it the worst we have ever delt with. We are going to have to go somewhere else to get our son a bed because he still doesn’t have one. That’s awful if you ask me. Every time you call they give you an attitude. If we would have known what we know now we would have never picked FMO of Blowing Green. Yes they have nice stuff but their customer service SUCKS!
