This shop is exactly what Bowling Green has needed downtown. So much happy is found here. The historic space is bright and cheerful and packed with wine and wine-related gifts. I also bought a wine tote and books about wine for my wine-loving friends. I have attended wine tastings, and learned so much from the knowledgeable and kind owner, Bill. I really love the narrow shop because when I pass other people in the aisle, we have a moment of shared experience and it feels like so many quaint spaces in downtowns all over the country and abroad where people shopping know each other, or will soon, and they know and trust the person they buy their goods from. Staircase Wineshop is such a gem nestled on the Bowling Green square. Bill and Melinda are so wonderful at giving personalised recommendations and intentional suggestions based on your preferences or meal ideas. Are you a wine novice? Not problem! You’ll be welcome. Also love that there’s several nonalcoholic options. We joined their monthly wine club and enjoy the opportunity to learn about new picks each month.
