Meltdown is such a sweet and fun little place. We visited here for the first time with family from out of town. We were looking for someplace different where none of us had ever been. Google maps showed us this place and we all agreed it looked interesting. The people behind the counter were very inviting. They offered to give us samples of any flavor we wanted (of which i tried 2). Since i couldn't pick just one, I got a single scoop split between both Cookies and Cream and Chocolate Covered Banana ice creams (which they gladly offered to do). My partner got a sugar cone with a single scoop (which was actually 2 scoops high) of the Spiced Cider Sorbet. Our guests shared a double scoop of Fro Ho Co (frozen hot chocolate) in a bowl covered in chocolate sauce and peppermint bark. In addition to the ice cream, we got a Dark Cherry hand crafted soda. Read moreThought we would make a detour on our trip whilst traveling I-65 because some of us had a hankering for ice cream. We were utterly surprised what we found in Meltdown. So many different choices of flavors, all made on site and with local, unadulterated ingredients. Milk and cream from a farm just up the road and all fruit from the farmers market. So be aware, during the winter months you won’t get as many fruity flavors. Still no shortage of great concoctions with new ones on the horizon. However, just because that is 1 person is needed dosent mean there is a compromise on quality. Thier prices do reflect the quality!
