And the saga continues.........Last Monday, 10/23, our vanities that we ordered online from Lowe's came in and they were all busted. Our contractor needed vanities and had workers ready to install. So my husband and I went to Super Home Surplus. We walked in and pretty immediately found what we wanted. The girl at the counter told us we could take the small vanity but that the big vanity would be on the truck tomorrow (Tuesday) and the linen closet wouldn't be there till Friday. We paid over $3000, loaded up the small vanity (not before I had to ask for cleaning materials because it needed cleaning from sitting so long in the front). We got to our house and our contractor asked if we had asked for a discount since it was a floor model--of course we hadn't thought to do that. And then we found several scratches and chips, but just went with it. On Tuesday (10/24) I got a call from the young lady saying that she had forgotten to hit save on the order and that it wouldn't be there that day but that if I wanted to drive to Nashville she could call the store. I told her I was at work and my husband was in Texas and that I didn't know if I could do that. But, again, I didn't ask for a discount. Later in the day I realized I could leave in time for the store to still be open so i called and told her to call Nashville and let them know I was coming. I got there in time to load it up and head home. On Friday (10/27) I never received a call about the linen cabinet. On Saturday morning I called and a young lady said that they had the cabinet but that it wasn't put together and that she'd call me later on to come get it. I'm still...
Read moreThis is my first time writing a review so do with this information what you will. We recently purchased kitchen cabinets from Super Home Center, and unfortunately, the quality was far below expectations. Upon receiving the cabinets, we noticed multiple issues that should have been caught during quality control. Many cabinets had chipped paint, screws pierced through the back causing the wood to split, and there were noticeable scratches. To make matters worse, our double pantry doors were mounted to swing the same way, despite the receipt clearly stating they should swing differently. After reaching out to management, we were put in touch with the general manager, Tom. After 9 days of waiting to hear something back, Tom offered us a refund of $410 for the $1,687.95 worth of damaged cabinets, which felt completely inadequate given the extent of the issues. Save yourself the trouble and avoid the headache, buy quality cabinets from a company that stands behind...
Read moreRecently purchased 2 pieces of Birch Butcher Block which they claim to be Grade A material. Everywhere we cut to fit our application there is voids in the wood. It looks ok on the outer surface but that’s a thin 1/4 inch board glued over some 1-1/2” blocks. Many of those have voids or cracks. We planned for an under mount sink but no way with this material. Would never be waterproof for a kitchen countertop application. They refused my request to return the material since it had been cut. Cutting it to fit is what reveals how it’s built and all the voids hidden under...
