It’s a basic nail salon. Not a luxury feel but a normal, small salon. So if you want a wow factor, this isn’t it. But it looked tidy and clean. I went with a friend who has been going there for a super long time. And her nails were a nice color. She went in for a removal of acrylics then her natural nails were gelled and tips were painted white. Anyway, I went for the almond shape, which I usually do short, French, and rounded square. The manager did my nails and she didn’t engage with me at all. They all have filler in their lips and are beautiful women and I can see a reality show because they are all that pretty. Even the man was beautiful! She laughed but there was no conversation beyond asking me a few questions about my nails. I also smelled mold so after she put the acrylic on I smelled my nails and it wasn’t that. I think it was coming from the hole in the table that has a decorative silver inlay covering it, but not sure. I tried to say I wanted my nails to look more natural, which to me meant top coat only but I think because I came in with the friend who was a regular somehow there was miscommunication and she painted my nails the same color as my friends. So I pulled away after the first coat and she got irritated and I explained that I did not want a second coat. And her tone changed and she started speaking in Vietnamese to the woman beside her. She was clearly annoyed with me. And then I thought I was getting a full set acrylic and clear coat only so that would’ve been between $30-40, even with weird add-ins that they hit you with. But it was $60!!! I can’t figure out how that was computed but I guess I did get a gel color that I didn’t actually want. All that being said…the man was very nice and the tiny lady who spoke Vietnamese but had no accent and spoke English like she has been here since birth was very nice also. And the manager was not mean at all, she just is very busy and takes her job very seriously. What I will say is that she did an amazing job!!! I think this is the best my nails have ever looked. She took the time to cut my cuticles and every other nail place EVER that I’ve went to since high school just uses the electric machine to buff away my cuticles. And then in a day or two I’ll push them back and I need a fill very quickly. So I’m impressed with her work completely and immediately another customer asked what color I got, which is #868 Gossip Girl. I would recommend the salon and the manager, just don’t go for the perks, go for your nails looking great. She really did a great job and I’m happy that there was miscommunication. I’m used to small towns also so the price was not something I’m used to paying. It’s probably a normal, even good price for BG. These are my own experiences with my own background, please remember. I also used to do my own nails, which is difficult and I’d rather pay for the pampering and I like to engage with people. So. Go for the job very well done and you’ll be satisfied! I left a $13 tip, only because the price shocked me again based on what I’m used to paying. She did gift me a cuticle oil which was very nice! It’s like at a restaurant when you have great service but the server isn’t super friendly and doesn’t talk much. We all like those extra connections that God brings to us but the job was executed excellently whether there was good energy...
Read moreThis is my first time leaving a review, but my experience here was so horrid I want to warn others. My fiancé dropped me off to get my nails done for Valentine’s Day. I asked for a manicure but noticed they were extremely busy and didn’t want to take up too much of their time so asked for just a regular polish change instead. The woman looked me in the eye and agreed. Half way through she asked me to pay before finishing my nails. I was confused why I was being charged 25$ for a simple polish change but figured the prices may be higher than other places. I decided to let it go. The woman proceeded to give me the sloppiest and rushed paint job, I could have done better myself. She didn’t ask what shape I wanted or gave me time to pick out a color I liked. She clearly wanted me out of the place asap. I still was trying to be patient and understanding that it was a busy day for them. Afterward I was waiting for my nails to dry I was spoken to by an extremely rude young lady. She said “your nails won’t dry if you keep texting”, I smiled and said ok and not even a minute later she tells me to leave. I have never been treated so rudely by a worker before. I have worked customer service before and never would dare to give a customer such disrespect. I am not a confrontational person but after letting my fiancé know my experience he encouraged me to stand up for myself. I mustered up all my courage to explain my frustrations. I asked to see my receipt and was immediately talked down upon. They refused to accept their mistake and gaslit me saying I never changed my mind and said no manicure. The woman who tried to rush me out was the rudest though, while I was trying to have a private conversation with the nail tech that did my nails she butted in and raised her voice causing a scene. The entire store stared at me and I had never felt so humiliated. I had to ask my fiancé for help and they were a lot kinder to him but still only offered to give me back my tip. I left in tears and it ruined my day when it was supposed to be a fun outing for Valentine’s Day. It wasn’t just disrespectful, it felt like bullying. Here’s what 30$ got me. She didn’t even bother to clean up the nail polish on the sides so I had to do it myself. Absolutely horrified that anyone can be ok presenting this service. Disgusting and beyond disappointing. I would NEVER...
