I spent 5 days here during the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America National Specialty. The hotel and Convention Center were AMAZING. I have to say this was the most enjoyable hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was friendly and attended every inquiry with a smile and "can do" Attitude. The rooms are HUGE with just enough furniture to be comfortable and plenty of room for dog crates. This is the first place I have EVER stayed that provided enough bath towels, hand towels and wash clothes. The $75 nonrefundable dog fee seemed a little high, but considering this was their first dog show, understandable. Having a full bar and restaurant on site was GREAT!! I never left the whole time I was there except to attend the trip to the Corvette Museum coordinated by our group. The Holiday Inn even provided a van for those without transportation. Talk about accommodating! They offered a great breakfast and Lunch Buffet with a nice variety of selections to choose from for Dinner at a reasonable price. The Sundries Closet was well stocked and convenient even if a bit pricey. The elevator lobbies of every floor had spray cleaner and paper towels available for us to use for the occasional accident. They had a doggy station by the side entrance for convenience as well I understand this was their first dog show. However it did not show. They even purchased Booster Baths and water heaters for the exhibitors convenience. Bravo on job well done. Suggestion #1: The doggie station at the side is great However low light and all the leaves made clean up impossible. Recommend moving to the grassy area on the other side of the parking lot or add additional lighting so we can see to clean up after our dogs. (We don't mind doing it). Suggest #2: Change carpet to Vinyl Plank. It is easier to clean up accidents and prevent lingering dog smells when they do happen. This will prevent future accidents as well. Housekeeping will love you. Suggestion #3: Whenever coffee stations are set up, please provide hot water and Tea as well. Not everyone is a coffee drinker. We had many International visitors that brought their own Tea but did not have hot water available to prepare it. Also lids for coffee cups are needed. Committee Chairs positions tend to rotate, so having this as a pre-established option when coffee is requested will be appreciated. Suggestion #4: A bell for the elevators in the lobby on each floor would be very helpful. Due to the spacing and the quick opening and closing of the doors, elevators are easily missed. Suggestion #5: Adding a few Veteran Parking spots would really be appreciated by those of us that have served.

Horrible experience! I have been staying here for years and recommended it to our travel team coming in for a tournament and tons of issues with the whole group. Personally, I made reservations at $159 a night for three nights, we ended up not having to be there until Saturday so I went online to edit my reservation and it changed my rate to more than $200 per night. When I called the hotel they couldn’t get it corrected either but would lower the room rate to $174 if I would pay up front. We checked in late and the first night I called the lobby 5 times trying to get our air fixed. We were miserable! Finally fell asleep, woke up drenched in sweat like it was blowing heat, couldn’t turn it off. The next morning I called one more time and got an automated system to pick up and left a message. When I got in the car, I called directly to the hotel and told them about the air conditioning and that we could not stay in a room that hot again. Then I received a text asking about my stay and I texted back about the broken air. They eventually texted me back and said the air couldn’t be fixed and when I got back from the hotel they would switch our room. Got back about 10:30 at night after playing three games in the heat and got new room keys, went to the old room to pack up our stuff, took three trips to get it to the new room, and it was not clean. There was nasty stuff on the carpet, trash in the bathroom and sunny d open bottle on the floor in front of the window. Tried to call the front desk twice and the automated system wouldn’t forward me through. We were so exhausted we just went to sleep. I am so disappointed with this stay and will never recommend it again.

I don’t usually leave reviews but for health reasons, I felt like this needed to be addressed. When we got to our room, we were hit with a very strong moldy smell. After walking around the room I noticed mold on the door and carpet. We went to the front desk and I brought it up to the girl at the front desk and was quickly given another room. (Pictured below is just one of the spots I found mold, there were additional spots throughout the room) When we got to our new room, 2 floors down and on the opposite side, the smell was even more powerful than the room we were given the first time and the carpet was damp. We immediately checked out. I did notice there were reviews previously left months prior, noting the same issue about the the smell of the rooms. Though the hotel had commented on the reviews and assured the issues would be dealt with, It seems the issues have not been dealt with. This is definitely a health issue and very unsafe for anyone to be staying here. The lobby is very pretty, there are a lot of water features but that might be a contributing factor to the mold. I am not sure how house keeping could miss the mold and I’m sure if one room has it many more do as well. Very disappointed as I was told by IHG that I would be contacted by the management but never was and I was never refunded my money. For the safety of you and your family, I do not recommend taking your chances and staying here.

Review: Disappointing Experience During LS Fest Weekend

I understand that LS Fest was in town, which likely made things busier than usual, but the check-in process was extremely hectic, even though we arrived later in the evening. Considering the hotel knew there would be more people, I expected the front desk to be better staffed.

As a Holiday Inn member, I was disappointed to learn that because I booked through a third party, I couldn’t add my rewards information to my reservation. I didn’t want to hold up the line further, so I just moved along.

Before arriving, I contacted the hotel to ensure a rollaway bed would be in our room, but it wasn’t there when we checked in. I had to request it again, and while it was eventually placed outside our door by the time we returned from dinner, it was an inconvenience.

The shower left a lot to be desired, with rust stains and poor water pressure. Hot water was only available if you showered early in the morning, which was frustrating.

My reservation included breakfast, but I didn’t receive vouchers at check-in, so I had to go back to the front desk to get them the next morning. Our friends, who booked using the same reservation link, didn’t get theirs with their reservation. The front desk staff didn’t seem particularly concerned about either oversight. Additionally, I requested extra towels for our room, but when I returned that night, there were no towels left, and the thermostat had been turned off.

The breakfast buffet was disappointing, as the food was cold. However, the chef making omelets was fantastic, and the omelets were delicious.

Parking was also an issue, as more than half the parking lot was roped off, making it difficult to find a spot. However, the hotel did reverse the parking fee when I inquired about it, which was appreciated.

Overall, this wasn’t the best experience, and I was disappointed, as this is where I typically stay when in Bowling Green during LS Fest. When charging more for rooms, because of LS Fest, I expect better amenities...
