This pet store is special. They have a ton of selections. Can't speak for the amphibians section not my thing. Puppies and kittens are great. We've gotten two dogs and one kitten from Zimmers over the years. All are the sweetest animals ever. As for mild sickness of animals, I'd like to put it out there that when you have many animals in one place there is bound to be sickness. It's the same as kids in daycares - they get sick! Should we shut down all daycares too? Use logic people. Baby animals get worms it's a simple fix if the original medications didn't work. When you take a sick animal to the vet they keep you separate from well animals. People come in there and pet all the animals therefore could potentially be moving the germs without realizing. Use your brains people. Research what to look for in an animal. The whole puppy mill jargon is absurd. Some people do not want to adopt an older dog/cat and want to start fresh. Should we be insulting parents who go off and have their own kids or IVF when so many kids need adoption? People treat their pets as their own kids. Do your research on the breed you are going to buy. I'm not saying they don't have puppy mill puppies I don't know for sure. It's irrelevant. What I do know is having gotten two dogs and one kitten from Zimmers they are sweetest animals ever! The staff is kind and helpful. They go above and beyond to help you. Zimmer's is one of the last pet stores that offer fur babies. Read the paperwork and take your new pet to the vet. My beautiful, sweet, loving Charlie boy came into my life in 2020 from Zimmers Pets. He was a great pyrenees full of love and happiness at all times. He passed away suddenly on Sunday… The vet says from congenital heart defects. I am heartbroken and devastated that my Charlie only lived to be 4… He was robbed of the life he deserved. I did my research after telling my co-workers and friends about my loss, and found Zimmers Pets to be a puppy mill pet store… I could say I wish I had done my research on them before I brought Charlie home, but then I would have never had the amazing 4 years I did with him. I am shocked and appalled to read the horrific stories about these animals and how so many people have suffered premature loss of their babies. I reached out asking what this supposed “health guarantee” is they mention on their website and if they will honor it since Charlie is gone… Nothing. Not even a reply. I’m so distraught and I can only blame the people who knew they gave me an unhealthy puppy from the start… I did everything I could to give him the life he deserved and I feel robbed and cheated. I hope you change your ways and do better by the animals and giving proper information from your “veterinarians”… A simple truthful comment when I chose him could have saved his life if I knew I’d need to pursue further testing and could have sought guidance on how to extend his lifespan as long as possible. You have to lay your heads down at night knowing you are crushing the hearts of your community with your deceptive health-guaranteed puppies. Shame on...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, very unprofessional. I went in there looking to buy a dog for my 2 year old and I found one I loved. I had to leave to go get money and I let the worker know I was coming back to buy the dog and he said he would hold it for me. When I came back with the money I let them know I was getting it and a lady with pink and dirty hair came back and was extremely rude and asked where I was taking the dog and I said to my house? And she said who do you live with and I said my parents?? She said you can’t get the dog they need to come here and sign the papers meanwhile I’m 20 years old and will be moving out any day. I was extremely frustrated I didn’t understand why I couldn’t have the dog when I’m an adult with 3 other dogs at home that are well taken care of. She ended up shoving me out of the door while I’m holding my 2 year old who is crying because she really loved the dog. Then she slammed the door on my face and threatened to call the cops on me because I was upset that I couldn’t take the dog home when I had the money with me. Will never be retuning to this store ever again, the way she treated me was disgusting. The other workers were on my side and didn’t understand why I couldn’t have the dog. I ended up getting the dog anyways cause I had to have my boyfriend go in a get it, she would sell it to him but not to a mom with her daughter on her hip??
