After moving here from Chicago, I was in need of a good nail salon. Unfortunately, this wasnât it.
Based on all the positive reviews and lots of research, I made an appointment a week in advance for what shouldâve been a simple fill (which Iâve gotten numerous times at other salons before). In other words, this wasnât my first nail rodeo. However, I have to say it was one of my worst experiences.
The place was busy when I arrived and, despite an appointment with Nikki, I had to wait about 20 minutes. But she was working on someone else and had another woman waiting in another chair in front of her, and she handed me off to another woman on the other side of the room. This woman (unsure of her name) started wrapping and soaking my nails to remove the old polish, but Nikki quickly told her to hand me off to someone else. He was a young guy who spoke little English, and he actually hurt me several times (and I have the scars today). He used a pretty thick drill, and in some places I could feel it hit me. It even left a sizable divot in one nail, and there are a few spots where he got the skin near my nails that is still painful a day later. He started trimming the nails but was having difficulty getting the length and shape right and only finished two before Nikki called me over to her. She really rushed through everything, and it shows. The nail lengths are uneven, two of the edges are super rough, and a couple of nails are not shaped at all. The whole time she was working on my nails there were two other customers sitting right there watching and waiting for her to finish.
Iâve never been to a place where 3 people worked on me for a straightforward manicure-I donât like being handed off from person to person, feeling like an unimportant ping pong ball. Youâd think it wouldâve been a good experience, but it was awful. Nikki is too busy to really pay attention to the person sitting in front of her. As a final note, Iâve never had anyone not look at or check my nails after they were finished to make sure they were okay. But here, Nikki just told me to wait 5 minutes and go wash up and pay while she went on to someone else. No cuticle oil, no light hand massage (I know not all places do that), no hand lotion, nothing. I was just dismissed. Iâll be looking for another place that treats me like Iâm welcome rather than just a...
Read moreThis nail salon doesn't even deserve 1 star. Terrible service. I'm convinced all these reviews are fake/paid for. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
Let me start off by saying that I booked 2 pedicures (one for me and one for my mother) and a manicure. When I got to the nail salon, everything seemed fine until they told us to sit to get a pedicure. The lady that started doing my mother's pedicure was brand new and didn't know what she was doing. My mom previously had a gel set on, and the lady preceded to attempt to remove the gel with a cheap nail file, and then wrapped the toes with acetone and foil. She did that for 30 minutes and when my mother asked her if she could use a drill, she said she didn't have one. So the staff switched her around so that a more experienced person could do the job. Once both pedicures were done, the paint job was patchy, lumpy, and a mess. I could've done a better job at home. No massages or scrubs were given on our feet. Our feet were barely in the water for a minute and our nails weren't properly cleaned before the paint went on.
Let me move on to my manicure. I initially booked a full acrylic set, only to be told that they only do clear acrylic and paint gel on top of it. They have no colored acrylic. This was told to me once the tips were already glued to my nails and filed/shaped. I had no choice but to continue and give them a chance. Mailenis did my nails and she did a HORRIBLE job. It took her over 1 hour to do my acrylic set and did the worst job I've ever seen in my life. She applied 4 gel coats on my nails, only for them to come out lumpy and uneven. I asked for them to be redone, because it looked like a 5-year-old painted my nails and it was quite frankly embarassing. I asked if she could apply dip powder over the acrylic nails so that it could come out more even, and she wanted to charge me an additional $10. I had already paid $65, making it a total of $75 + tip for garbage. At the end of the day, I spent 2 hours in that chair and my nails look terrible. They're extremely thin, crooked, and shorter than I wanted due to repeated drilling and filing. The dip powder still came out uneven. There's dried dip powder under my nails that she forgot to clean up. We spent over $150 + tips that day for nothing. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. Save your money and...
Read moreIf I could give this place a 0 I would, but google doesnât have that option! I went in yesterday 2/13/2025 and the manager told me to pick a color I told him I want gel and he pointed to the rack and said pick from there it didnât look like gel so I asked him three times to make sure I was looking at the right colors because Iâm OCD and sometimes it takes me a long time to choose something I chose all the colors I wanted brought them over and the lady said that wasnât gel so I asked why he told me it was and He told me to deal with the lady that is doing my toes now. As I sat down, I told her you should really teach him what is correct gel vs not gel because he doesnât know and I took time to pick out my polish. He then came over and told me if you want the service then you be quiet. It wasnât a free service I was paying $50. I donât know who he thinks he is so I said I wasnât going to be quiet and I could say whatever I want, and the lady begged me to stay and he kicked me out and threatened to call the police. I had waited 20 minutes to get my nails done and then he just kicked me out. I go here all the time and I will never be back. I recommend you...
