Lucilles Bad to the Bone BBQ — Restaurant in Florida

After leaving the restaurant I said "Man that was bad". The brisket I ordered on the sandwich felt like it was not even brisket, but more like a pot roast that had been boiled in a crock pot. The sauce had very little flavor and I could definitely taste the water in the sauce as it was so bland. Pulled pork tacos were equally horrendous as they were soggy and watery due to being pre packaged. The server said they cook the brisket in the oven overnight. I think it was a crock pot, pot roast. Slaw had very little flavor and not much texture, probably due to sitting around in the fridge for too long. I hope I don't get sick, but it did seem clean in there. It was a huge disappointment. The Mac and cheese is from a box of kraft with bigger elbows to make it appear like a real Mac and cheese. Huge disappointment. My wife said she liked the French fries. Menus were outdated. I thought the brisket sandwich was supposed to have onions and a relish on there, but the server said they changed the menu and most people requested to not have the onions and relish. No smoked meat flavor, just watered down boiled mush served on a plate. This restaurant needs to overhaul their menu and serve better quality food because this was really bad. NEXT time I want brisket and can't make it myself on my offset smoker or get to Tropical Smokehouse, I will go to Firehouse subs and get a brisket sub. I wanted to like this restaurant. I cannot...

Absolutely the worst. We went in here with very high expectations after hearing how good it is. If you love BBQ like we do, STAT FAR AWAY. This is basically cafeteria food at best. The ribs burnt and dry. The pork cold and flavorless. I don't even know what the other meat was that I got, it definitely was not brisket I ordered and was not good. The Mac and cheese should be called buttered noodles. The beans were Campbell's canned at best. Even the Corn muffin was so dry and tasteless. The only thing that was decent was the fried pickles. And there pop is generic not coke or Pepsi. So that tells you what to expect about everything else.

Now let's talk service... the server was not personable and was very short and not listening. The only positive is she kept my drink full. When trying to say something to the manager and trying to be very sympathetic to the situation, he got an attitude and was rude and again not listening. Completely unprofessional for the situation.

Now for the grossest part, who I assume to be the General Manager, older gentleman walking around like a warden, with a mask on. Went to the bathroom used the urinal and walked straight out without washing his hands and went straight to walking the floor, touching things, and POS systems, etc.

As always, food was great. We were able to catch the last table outside by the fountain and welcome Fall - the weather was beautiful!! I had a half rack of baby backs with apple sauce and baked beans. My guest had a salad filled with strawberries, mandarins and craisins (he opted out of the bleu cheese crumbles.) Let's start with the salad. My friend orders salads every where we go and it's usually lettuce with goodies scattered throughout. And half gets left uneaten.. Not this salad! There were so many add ins that the salad was eaten until there was only a bare plate. He couldn't stop raving about how delicious it was and how fresh! My ribs were moist and dee-licious! We come here often but these were the BEST ever. Tender, fall-off-the-bone goodness. Both sides were yummy too. I'm a small eater so I had plenty to bring home. Our server, he never gave us his name (and I neglected to ask) was perfect! Efficient, friendly and able to know seconds before we knew, if we needed something. So appreciated! Great meal!
