First time and last time at this restaurant As a business owner, I provide constructive feedback to the owner in hopes that this business considers these areas for bettering the experience for people who eat here
Ambiance: 2/5. Went for breakfast on Saturday. Place Slow around 9:30am. A lot of staff standing around, checking their cell phones, and eating in the back of the kitchen. Perhaps provide a place for team to do that where clients do visually see it. Rap music playing at a Diner is probably not best suited for a morning breakfast experience.
Service* 2/5 Two hostess not smiling when we walked in. There were 5 of us in the party with 3 kids. We requested a booth and the blonde hostess said she needed to ask her manager if they are allowed to seat 5 people with kids in a both. We were ready to walk out until we ran into Cynthia who we knew from other breakfast spots in the area. She made us feel welcome and continued to check in on us. Although she was not our server, she continued to check in and make sure we were happy. Cynthia mentioned that kids eat free on Saturday and that was never mentioned from our server.
Food Quality: 1/5 the portions are good but that’s about the only positive. IHOP quality food for Boca prices. Have no problem paying good money for good food but this is the biggest factor the restaurant needs to improve on.
Menu Variety: 4/5. Good variety of food. Options for healthy eating and gluten free also. Typical diner menu. Consider adding some unique seasonal dishes.
Value for Money: 1/5 - the is the biggest thing the management has to figure out to stay in business in Boynton
Cleanliness: 4/5 Bathroom was clean which is important. Environment overall was clean
Location: 5/5 excellent location on a corner with plenty of visibility. Like how they offer indoor and outdoor seating. Place should be full on a Saturday morning in my opinion.
Overall Experience: 2/5 Been wanting to try it but won’t be back until management figures out how to fix the cost/value issues and service issues. Hope this business adapts to recommendations of clients so they can stay open and continue to serve...
Read moreMy husband and I tried this place for the first time since they recently opened and honestly I wish I didn’t have to write this review because the food, service and overall atmosphere was great. Super yummy hash browns and super nice server! Only problem was the hostess who couldn’t have been more rude! We asked to sit outside but the only table available was in the sun so I asked if anyone was getting up soon and without even looking around she said no everyone was waiting for food. As she was talking a gentleman got up from a table so we asked if we could sit there and she rudely said fine but it needed to be cleaned off and we could wait inside. We went inside and it was freezing so we came back out to wait. We went to stand near the table and she stuck her head out the door and said VERY rudely, “please wait for the table to be cleaned off”. A busser cleaned off the table but the check was still left so we waited. The hostess finally came out of the door by us and picked up the check and left 2 menus and place settings. Then instead of turning to us and telling us we could sit she purposely turned and went around the building to the other entrance and just left us standing there. We waited and waited then after a few minutes I poked my head in and asked if we could FINALLY sit down and she said oh yeah go ahead. And btw while we were standing there 3 other tables opened up! Gotta tell you for a brand new place that’s waited so long to open I would definitely consider friendlier, more mature people to great your well paying customers. Would’ve given 5...
Read moreToday was my first time visiting, and the atmosphere was very bright and welcoming, the staff had such a bubbly energy. From the moment we parked and walked toward the restaurant, everyone greeted us, and a staff member even held the door open, which was a sweet touch.
Once seated, we did have to wait about 10 minutes before being greeted by a server. The hostess kindly explained they were slammed, so I was understanding; however, in most restaurants, a wait of over 10 minutes without acknowledgment is usually a red flag.
When our server arrived, he completely turned the experience around! He was a young man who was incredibly attentive, accommodating, and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was amazing, and I highly recommend the Banana Bread French Toast 🔥.
The only reason I’m not giving a full 5/5 stars is because of the initial delay and a concern regarding food safety. I noticed the line manager repeatedly touching her face and wiping her nose before handling plates, which was a bit concerning. Additionally, her long hair was styled in a ponytail, and as she turned to grab items some hair was hitting the food and plates. While her hairstyle was neat, it would be more sanitary and professional for all staff members with long hair to keep it secured in a bun, especially when working directly around food.
Overall, this place has a great vibe, friendly service, and delicious dishes, with just a few small adjustments, it could easily be a...
