Recently we were on a trip and I took my reMarkable 2 tablet with me so I could journal everything experienced and witnessed in writing and in sketches. Lo and behold, something must have knocked on the side of my tablet and the wretched power button got stuck!! I couldn't move it to switch it on anymore. And it wouldn't charge either! I should've known that this would happen since I heard a lot of reMarkable 2 owners complaining about the flimsiness of the power button design. It's so delicate I didn't want to risk damaging it at all by trying to pry it open with a knife or something! So I began my research into finding a place that would actually be able to repair it. FYI, the reMarkable manufacturer doesn't offer any repair to the power button. It's not covered under the warranty. The only solution they gave me was to return my tablet so they could send me a replacement! What?! No repair capability for the flimsy design they subject the otherwise perfect writing table to?! For me, it's NOT the tablet that I was most concerned about, but my data in it!! There's no way to export it because the tablet didn't turn on and the charging wasn't happening because of it! During my research, I was surprised that there were only 1 or 2 repair shops that would repair reMarkable 2 tablets!! One of them is Computers Repair Plus Electronics in Florida. I couldn't believe there wasn't any other shop locally that would be able to help me out except uBreakiFix, a huge chain, so I thought they'd be able to fix it. Alas, after being told that repairing the tablet was very messy and there would be a 20% chance that they'd damage it if I were to let them repair it, I was like, 20%?!?!!? That's unacceptably high!! Because of the importance of the data that I had stored in my tablet which could never be duplicated, I decided to send it to Computers Repair. I first found them via YouTube, and from reading the Google reviews. So I called them and got to speak with the tech who was going to repair it, Morshed. Anyway, he and the receptionist, Gabriel, were both such consummate professionals and kept reassuring me that they'd good experiences with the reMarkable power button repairs and hadn't received any complaints from their former patrons who got their tablet power buttons repaired without a hitch. They kept to their word. They maintained fab customer service with pronto replies either via text or email or through their portal. They kept their promise to return my tablet within 2 working days after receipt. They kept giving me updates on the status. Morshed answered all of my questions patiently and positively, which really makes a huge difference for me, as a client. I was already impressed that he and his team thought of this niche market because seriously, there's really no other shop who could do it, maybe another one, but this shop highlights their repair of the reMarkable 2 tab, disclosing what they do and always maintaining their professionalism in dealing with the customers and the tablets. Like clockwork, I got my tablet back and it looked pristine in its original packaging! I checked the power button and its surroundings and it was like what Morshed said, good as new, even better durability, no chance for the button to be decompressed again!!! OMG! I was beyond elated! Morshed, for lack of a better word, IS my life saver, saving my all-important, irreplaceable, not-duplicatable, once-in-a-lifetime journal entries, aka MY DATA by fixing the power button so effectively!!! Everything's working perfectly now, thanks to their ingenuity in coming up with a brill solution to this very common problem with the inferior reMarkable design! So, if you own a reMarkable 2 tablet and you face the same power button problem as many of us have, then look no further. We HIGHLY recommend Computers Repair Plus Electronics! Thank you so much, Morshed!! Keep up the great work you do and your positive attitude, you and...
Read moreI would like to start off by saying that this will be a somewhat long review, but definitely worth the read if you're in question about anything. I do not write reviews ever, but this process was definitely worth writing for.
First a little back story. I started off by invoicing with Artesian Builds for my custom PC on November 30th, 2021. It was my first ever PC that I have built and I was very excited to go through the process. They had quite the following and reputation, so I knew I would get quality work and they knew what they were doing. However, the communication was poor and only done via email ONLY. After waiting 3 months (their website said 5-8 weeks lead time) I finally reached out, and reached out again, and again. Every single time I received what appeared to be a blanket response of "I am still in the queue and things are moving along..." Fast forward more weeks and they responded by telling my I was about halfway through the queue after already going 4 weeks past their initial date. After jumping through some hoops and I mean a lot of hoops...I finally helped them to help me, and the PC was built, less the GPU (more waiting...). I am a very patient person, but got increasingly aggravated throughout this process and my feelings shifted and I was no longer comfortable, nor happy about building this anymore. I refunded the entire purchase and washed my hands with them. Thankfully Chase bank refunded my the next day, in FULL, and didn't make me wait...b/c who knows how long that would have been dealing with them, especially after the CEO put his foot in his mouth on Twitch Live and temporarily suspended all builds and operations under the direction of his lawyers I'm assuming, as they are under fire right now (figure of speech for those who take things too literal).
After my refund came, I ordered all of my own PC parts online and waited for them all to come in. I called Computers Repair Plus and spoke to Morshed and asked all the necessary questions. He was very respectful, knowledgeable, and such a positive attitude. He listened to every detail and recreated that exciting feeling that I was looking for, for my first experience. After everything arrived, I brought all the parts to him, inventory was scanned in and accounted for, a ticket was created, and we went over the plan one more time. Due to all the RGB, there were a few items that needed to be purchased to get my desired effect. He called me before each purchase and made sure that it was okay to buy them and reflect the payment on the invoice. He got the material and completed the PC in about 3 days, which was what was promised. The entirety of this experience with Computers Repair Plus was nothing short of amazing. The attention to detail, the welcoming attitude, and continued communication was very comforting. I never once received a bad feeling dealing w/ Morshed, like I did w/ Artesian. He went above and beyond and produced a build that I absolutely couldn't be more happy with.
Long story short...if you're wanting to get anything done, whether it be purchasing a product to suit your needs, cleanup an existing product, or create a masterpiece of your own...he is the one to call and Computers Repair Plus is the place to get it done. No stress, no hassle, efficient, and amazing quality of work. The Google reviews speak for themselves and this one will join the rest of the 5 star reviews, just as it should.
I really hope this helped anyone in question and sorry for such a lengthy reply. Believe it or not, this is the watered down version. My experience with Artesian was a NIGHTMARE, and nothing short of the word.
Thank you everyone and thank you Morshed and Computers Repair Plus for making this experience one of a kind. I will be returning for anything relative in the...
Read moreWe had a genuinely great experience with Computers Repair Plus +. My son’s custom-built gaming computer was shutting down within 3 minutes of turning it on (among a few other issues). Since this PC is also used for school, we couldn’t risk delaying the repair. My wife searched for a local computer repair shop to diagnose problem. Of all the shops she spoke with, she felt very comfortable with the business owner at Computers Repair Plus +, Morshed. She dropped off the PC and my personal contact information with him. Morshed quickly followed-up and patiently walked me through the details of his diagnosis. It was immediately clear he performed a full diagnostic of the machine. Both hardware and software. On the phone, he spent over 1-hour sharing his findings and offering various options to consider for repair. The key issue was related to overheating. Although, other items needed to be addressed. In all cases, he was extremely sensitive to keeping my expense down. He shared his approach while searching for lower-cost components that would be available sooner. His patience, transparency, and desire to help was not at all what I had expected during this call. The day my son and I visited the store to pick up our computer, Morshed recognized my 13-year-old son’s interest in learning what was done. Morshed took almost 2 hours walking my son through all the details of his work. Removing parts, pointing to chips-sets, how/why he re-ran cables and explaining the updates he made. These included the addition of a new hard drive, updating the Bios, installing a new RGB cooling fan system/pump to protect the CPU, relocating the graphics card and porting/cloning all the existing data so we would not lose anything. The PC is running remarkably well and at top performance. School and gaming are back on! It’s clear Computers Repair Plus + is incredibly strong with their technical knowledge of computer repair (both software and hardware). What I feel is even more commendable is the fact Morshed invested a tremendous amount of his personal time to provide comfort and understanding to my family; throughout the entire process. We will continue to use Computers Repair Plus +. With that, we would absolutely refer anyone to Morshed and his team. Many thanks to...
