I am lucky enough to have 3 Aldi's in 3 neighboring towns in my area. I got the majority of my groceries at the first one I visited, then went to the next one to see if they had a couple things that the first one was out of. Yes, I found all but one of the things I needed. So I was still in search of the Crem Bulee flavored coffee that I'd purchased the previous month. I normally don't care for the flavored coffee but this one was very good! So this explains why I was on an Aldi hunt in search of this coffee which neither of the other two stores had. Well, to my dismay, the third also didn't have it either. They had plenty of other flavors, but not the one I wanted. The cashier was nice enough to check with someone but was told it probably was a limited time offer. THIS is the only thing that I find bothersome at Aldi. If that one flavor of coffee sold out that fast, why wouldn't you keep that flavor around longer? Every store had plenty of other flavors, tons of pumpkin spice which is typically for Oct/Nov, but it is Jan. 23 and they still have plenty of that! Maybe no one else liked that flavor either.🤣 I just wish if there is a product that sells really well, that Aldi would try to keep it in stock year round.😢 And yes, I still found something to buy at my third Aldi store too, even though it wasn't what I went there for, my coffee. They have such a wide array of items from all over the world, things that no other store offers you, plus I can't think of any other store that offers the equivalent of the Aldi guarantee. What's not to love?? This is definitely the store I shop at for groceries (and other really cute and practical...
Read moreI bought an electric salt and pepper grinder set from Aldi in Kankakee. When I got home I realized I was overcharged. I had sent a picture to my husband asking if I should purchase it for $8.99. My receipt showed $12.99. As I was in Bourbonnais the following week, I brought the receipt to the manager at that store. She refused to refund me, and proceeded to talk about me in front of the other employees saying "Yeah she had a picture" and laughed. I went home and filed a complaint with the corporate office. They told me to go back to Aldi and I would be given a refund. I returned to the Kankakee store and the manager apologized for her behavior, and said that never should have happened. He gave me a refund. No questions asked. I will continue to shop here, but the manager has a lot to learn about polices, and procedures when representing a corporation and...
Read moreI used to be a regular Aldi shopper, but moved & didn't have one to go to. Two years later I'm back in the area and have never been so disappointed in a grocery store. It's crowded in every aisle & all the produce is old and squishy. I picked up a bag of oranges and they were so rotten that they were splitting apart in the bag. The fresh beef and chicken were good, but everything else we bought was inedible. A pizza, sausage, lunchmeat, & orange juice all got thrown out because it tasted so bad that no one in my family would eat it. The pasta sauce is now very watery. I bought a box of frozen hamburger patties & after one bite I felt like I wanted to vomit because it tasted so bad. I used to shop at Aldi weekly for groceries, but now I'll never shop there again. There were far too many things that were terrible for it to be dismissed as a "Whoops. I just got a...
