While I won’t get into the contracting issues we experienced with Blooms by the Beach—which began 10 days before our wedding and were only resolved two days prior—I do feel it’s important to share feedback on the florals we received on the day of the event.
We had a clear and thoughtfully designed vision for our wedding flowers, which included: Bridal Bouquet: Coral Charm Peonies, Thistle, Fresh Cherry Blossom, Orange Ranunculus, Garden Roses, and Gunni Eucalyptus, with a ribbon-wrapped handle and sea glass accents Bridesmaids’ Bouquets: Smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet, featuring Candy X-Pression garden roses (or a similar variety) Boutonnières: Pocket square-style arrangements for the groom and two groomsmen, incorporating the selected blooms Altar Arrangements: A mix of garden roses and coordinating florals, finished with ribbon and sea glass accents
Unfortunately, the florals did not arrive as expected. Delivery was approximately 45 minutes late to our Airbnb, and several issues were immediately noticeable. The bridesmaids’ bouquets, which were supposed to feature Candy X-Pression garden roses or a similar type, instead included standard pink roses. Many of the roses were wilting upon arrival, with browning edges, and the Coral Charm Peonies in the bridal bouquet were already fully open, making them extremely delicate and difficult to handle.
The bouquets were also missing key design elements—most notably, the teal ribbons and sea glass accents we had discussed. Instead, they were wrapped with plain white ribbon, and the sea glass was entirely absent. The fresh cherry blossoms that were to be a focal point of the bridal bouquet were also missing. Likewise, the altar arrangements lacked the sea glass accents that had been part of our agreed-upon design.
As a bride, these oversights were incredibly disappointing. Timely delivery and attention to detail are essential on a wedding day, and unfortunately, these shortcomings created unnecessary stress during a time that should have been joyful...
Read moreI ordered a bridal bouquet with white flowers and lots of greenery, and was absolutely floored when I saw it! I got compliments on it all evening, and it smelled amazing! They don't skimp on the flowers here, the bouquet was completely full and every flower looked like it was perfectly bloomed. I honestly think it looked like a much more expensive bouquet than it was.
I had also called the shop in a hurry the day before my wedding looking for three single roses (for a memorial wedding ceremony chair) and loose rose petals for a last-minute flower girl addition, and they easily and happily accommodated me. The three single roses were even tied loosely together with ribbon and had some greenery attached, so it was a beautiful presentation and even more than I expected. Thank you Blooms...
Read moreBlooms by the Beach was a preferred vendor of our wedding venue and we could not have been more pleased to work with Felicia, the owner of Blooms by the Beach. Felica made time to meet with us when we were in town to discuss details. She brought to life what we had imagine plus more. Felica listened when we wanted to make changes and offered her professional insight. Felicia was accommodating up until our wedding by having someone drop off our bouquets for pictures before our ceremony. Our wedding flowers held up well in the Florida heat on the beach. She is an LGBT ally, who has a bubbly personality and wants to help all of...
