We stayed in the house from January 7-21, 2023. We live in Illinois and our weather in January is usually very cold. January temperatures in Florida aren't always the warmest so having a warm pool with a hot tub is a top priority. All 4 of our children are adults with 2 of them having young children, we were able to stagger arrivals so all of the kids could stay with us while on vacation. In the last 3 years finding a house with 4-5 king beds without being terribly expensive is a challenge. This house has it all!!! 4 of the 5 bedrooms have king beds, 3 of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and the 4th and 5th bedrooms share a bathroom. The 5th bedroom has 2 twin bunks and a twin trundle. The master suite has a small dressing room attached which has a pack and play already set up for a small child. Every bedroom was equipped with a TV. The kitchen is set up with several dishes and plenty of pots and pans for cooking. The house had games, plenty of cards and had toys for the young kids in our group. The area to watch TV was plentiful with comfortable furniture. The deck upstairs off the kitchen had plenty of furniture to seat us all comfortable outside. The outdoor refrigerator was a nice convenience. The pool area was a bit small for our family but did not get in the way of having fun. The pool and hot tub were the warmest we have found in Florida. The pool area has full grown landscaping but we still had sun on the pool until 4:00, with that we enjoyed the pool until much later then moved to the hot tub. The slide was a hit with the kids of all ages!!! Upon arrival the pool was 70* but within 2 days we had an 85* pool and we were able to heat the hot tub warm enough to enjoy it well after sundown. We did not use the grill but it was available if we wanted to. Plenty of beach items were found in the garage. The pool had noodles and balls for the adult kids to use. The shallow area by the hot tub was perfect for the little kids. The location of the house is far enough away from gulf drive but you do need the car to go eat. The beach is 2.5 blocks away and was easy to get to on foot! On our 2nd day we found 60 perfect sand dollars ranging from 2 to 4 inches. As for beach retreats, they were very easy to get ahold of, very responsive and communication was easy and quick. Loved the communication screen by the front door!! It was easy to use and quite informative. The only thing that my adult children would have liked was a pool table or ping pong table in the garage for things to do on the 2 chilly/rainy days. If you are looking for criticism on this house you will not find it from me, it is a clean great home with everything you would need. We have been coming to Anna Maria for 8 years and have stayed in different homes every year in search of the perfect home. I think we have found it and hope to be able to stay again. We stayed at Bevin’s Beach House on Anna Maria Island. The house itself was VERY NICE, but Beach Retreats was flat out AWFUL! The day we got there we noticed a bee hive on the upper level. I had contacted Emma that Saturday asking her if she could get a maintenance person out to take it down. She didn’t answer so my wife text her, again no reply. According to Emma, someone supposedly came out that Monday around lunchtime, but we were out enjoying our vacation. Emma never contacted us telling us someone would be by. They FINALLY came out on Wednesday, five days after we checked in and two days before we were to leave. The backyard was one of the nicest we’ve seen. We had two children and they were looking forward to the pool water features, but they didn’t work. When I talked with Emma on that Monday, she said they weren’t included during our stay. I said you might want to look at the pictures of the house as there were SIX pictures showing them working. She finally sent the pool guy out to turn them on. When I left our review on VRBO, Emma lied and attacked me. I still have the proof showing this. She called me a misogynist even though I never said even one word about her being female. That shows you her lack of character. She lied and said my wife and I were hounding her the entire week when the truth was I contacted her once on that Saturday and my wife contacted her once on that Saturday. I called and talked with her partner Claire as I was hoping she might care about how poorly Emma had treated us. She said she’d call on that Tuesday but to nobody’s surprise, she never did. I really can't say enough good things about this vacation rental. We loved it. We stayed at Beach Bliss in Holmes Beach, FL. The backyard is absolutely stunning. Large, heated pool with a hot tub and waterfall. Tons of seating and it's a very private space with all the lush landscaping. The outdoor lighting at night is also gorgeous. The beds in the two master suites were very comfortable. Our kids loved the bunk room. The bathrooms were also very nice and having 3 full baths was great! The inside living space is smaller, but they did a good job maximizing the space. Also, why be inside when you have the amazing backyard?! The kitchen is very nice and well stocked with plates, cups, bowls, spices, etc. You will need to get your own dish soap, hand soap, additional dishwasher pods, garbage bags, toilet paper and paper towels if you are staying for a week so. The place was very well equipped for the pool and the beach. They have two beach wagons, plenty of chairs, umbrellas, tons of beach toys and plenty of both beach and regular towels! Access to laundry was also a big plus. There is ample parking in the driveway – don't park on the street as you are likely to get a parking ticket. The location was super convenient to restaurants and shops and about a two-block walk to beach access. If you want to go to the main Holmes beach it's a short drive. We rented a golf cart from Toy Barn and that was super fun and convenient to have. Overall we absolutely loved our stay and would go back to Beach Bliss! It's probably one of the nicest properties...
