Anchor Inn — Restaurant in Holmes Beach

I would give 0 stars if I could. I was there yesterday with my friends. We are all from Denmark 🇩🇰 and had driver license with us. All over 35 years old. However bartender would only allow passports no driver license. Please note when u stay at hotels they take ur passports so its almost impossible to bring with you. Even when we showed pictured of our passports, driver license and credit cards. We werw still rudely kicked out. We had to go back and get our passports and come back but he kicked us out in the rain to wait for transport. Plus he kicked out others too. It was just such a bad impression of the people who live here and I think it had more to do with race then it did age since we were all way...

I can’t find enough good words to describe Joey. Delightful, kind, hardworking, accommodating, the list goes on. He remembers us every year and is always so welcoming the second we walk through the door. The Anchor Inn is our first stop every year we visit the island and we always hope Joey is on staff! While the Decoy Ducks staff is continuously unimaginably rude to us every year, the Anchor Inn staff always leaves us with the same wonderful experience....

Great atmosphere and the friendliest people are always there enjoying the relaxing bar with the best AC and iced down beers, not to mention full bar. Try a "bomb" shot btw. The bartenders are the best never having employee turn over says a lot about a landmark bar that is privately owned. Makes a great date night to listen to music and just unplug or after a day on the beach or on way home from work. Best...
