We've been wanting to replace our carpet with engineered wood/laminate, and I got a flyer in the mail for Surplus Warehouse. I wandered in just to see what they had, and ended up finding everything I needed and more. They had a huge selection of laminate, vinyl, real wood, and wood-mimicking tile, and they were displayed in a way that made it easy to quickly decide which I liked. More than that, though, the help provided by Dex really went above and beyond.

I had tried to educate myself about the options, but when it comes to laminate flooring, there is so much conflicting information out there. Dex helped me understand the differences in the types of products, made me aware of important things to consider for each, and also gave me contact information for a few installers to try. The person Dex recommended for installation is extremely fairly priced, and has a great approach to his work, and we couldn't be happier.

Surplus Warehouse has such phenomenal prices that we were actually able to afford updating the baseboards and doors as well. Much more importantly to me, though, every single person I spoke with there was courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable. And Mark assisted with my order.. they were both very helpful and she was actually the one who helped my spouse last week and prompted this return trip and purchase at home outlet.. nice employees, wide aisles, large selection, very good prices, and military discount.. product is excellent as well.. will be returning for more after kitchen is done, will start on one of the bathrooms, and will be shopping here, thank you.. 09/29/23 - EDIT - I was in on the 25th to purchase product for a customer; wheeled it out and had assistance with loading it; i want to let EVERYONE know, that the customer service at this location has always been great.. I was driving home, and my assistant was doing the Google review; I had thought she had figured that my discount was not applied.. after the review was posted, within 2 days, Maria had called to insure that it was in the total purchase amount; so I apologize to her, whomever rang up the sale, and to Home Outlet; as it is always a pleasure to shop here.. I will now call the store as well as leave this updated review: I have Always enjoyed shopping this store.. thank you for being at least close to the highway(even if not closer to the Alabama line).. will always return for more product in the future.....

All employees of this employee owned store have worked with me every step of the way for many months. They have been helpful from designing my kitchen & choosing the best cabinets with honest suggestions, to loading purchases. They have helped with special orders and given great advice when I've found myself faced with a problem. I'm not a contractor knowing what I need with an easy sale. I'm an old person having an in-law cottage built who knows little of what I've been tasked to do. I have been in the store on numerous occasions asking lots of questions & looking for help with each new thing the builder says I must supply for the build. Every visit has been positive & helpful. There is never salesman pressure & if you're easy going they are a happy bunch that will have you laughing and smiling giving you a break from the stress & the pressure you're under! Prices are easy on the pocket & selections are pretty good too. Great experience all the way around. Happy helpful employees who truly like to help their customers. I look forward to working with them through the completion of my little home knowing they will help me to the best of their ability with honesty, always...
