To the amazing team at Video Game Trading Post (VGTP) in Pensacola —

Whether it’s Tim, Kevin, Katie, Mario, or anyone else who’s been there to help us or our son Fisher, I want to take a moment to say something that’s been on my heart: Thank you.

You all consistently go out of your way to make Fisher feel special. You listen to him. You see him. And while that may seem like a small gesture in the moment, I can promise you — these are the little moments that will shape who this young man becomes.

It might sound silly to some, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve started to look at things differently. Where do I want to spend my money? Who do I want to support? Who is really making a difference, not just chasing a bottom line?

VGTP is the answer to all of those questions.

When the Pokémon craze took off again and many places lost sight of who this was really supposed to be for, you all stood firm. You became a beacon in the community — offering fair prices, putting limits in place, and making sure that kids (yes, actual kids!) could get their hands on packs and experience the joy we all remember from our own childhoods.

That might not make national headlines, but it means the world to families like ours.

So this is just a small but heartfelt way of saying: What you’re doing is working. You’re building something real and lasting, and you’re making the community a better place — one card, one game, and one kind interaction at a time.

We appreciate you deeply and look forward to supporting you for years to come.

I recently brought in large amount of retro sega consoles to have tested and to see if maybe I could sell them there , the 3 guys that were working there were very patient , extremely knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor about them , and while the price I was given was significantly lower than I anticipated and we ultimately couldn't come to a deal ,the employees were never rude or snappy and never made me feel as though I was a waste of their time even though I personally felt I had been given all the effort they went through to look at the massive amount of stuff I brought in so late in the day , I ended up still buying a pretty obscure title from them and the price of the game was reasonable and they even took the time to polish it in their machine for me which was cool of them.

These guys knew every game reference I brought up and even the most obscure tidbits about the consoles I had never known before. It is easy to see that everyone there is passionate about their work and truly enjoys what they do, and while maybe this won't be my go-to place for selling my things , it most certainly will be the first place I go to look for any rare, old , and obscure game title or hardware I may be looking for.

Summary: -Maybe the prices need a little work, though as a business owner myself I understand there needs to be room for a profit as well as supply and demand.

THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE, HANDS DOWN, BEST AND ONLY PLACE TO BUY/TRADE GAMES!! Excuse me, I'm still really excited about my purchase today lol I stumbled upon Kevin and Katie's wonderful store thru countless searches of trying to find a ps2 for sale. Having been out of the gaming community for quite some time, I was pretty timid buying a used console online, and when I found the opportunity to purchase the ps2 on site I was excited, yet still cautious. Katie put my worries at ease with all of her knowledge and passion, as Kevin not only showed the same passion but he also put up with my long winded rants about how awesome crash bandicoot warped it. I purchased a ps2 slim in the original box(which works fantastic btw) 4 ps1 games, 4 ps2 games, memory cards for the ps1 and ps2, and 2 of the original Sony controllers AND STILL paid significantly LESS than I would have for the ps4 or xbox one x Not only am I reconnected with my childhood, but I am playing games I love and kick butt at lol. Video game trading post is a must shop place, they now have all of my video game related purchases and will be my only point of contact for questions on new and upcoming consoles Kevin and Katie, I cant thank you both enough for the time spent with me today, and I look forward to seeing you both very soon!!
