Molly Maids in Pensacola Florida-Unprofessional and Lazy
Had the worse experience of a lifetime with this incompetent company. No customer service skills whatsoever when I called to enter a complaint. I was talking on the phone to Lisa and ask if I could talk to a supervisor and she said she was the supervisor, knew I was in trouble then, this definitely explained a lot about the operation of this franchise. My son had new hardwood floors and carpet put in his house right before the Christmas Holidays, when I called Molly Maids they assured me they were use to these types of projects. I reiterated that I would need all the dust removed from the work with the hardwood floors as my son was to begin Chemotherapy at MD Anderson right after Christmas and it was imperative that all the dust was out of the house. These two ladies came in while the installers was still installing carpet upstairs, but they had the entire downstairs to work on, they did nothing for 3 hours and charged us $300.00. They told their supervisor, Lisa, that there was not much they could do since there were still people working in the house. No one was working downstairs and bathroom was not touched, no dust removed at all in the kitchen, den, hall, dining room and Den. The installers finished the carpet upstairs and left while Molly Maids was still there, not any of the new carpet upstairs was vacuumed and none of the upstairs bathrooms were touched. I thought it was very telling that they immediately went back to office and reported to their supervisor that they couldn't do a whole lot because of all the construction, they did this only because they knew someone would be calling to complain. So, the thing is, if you couldn't do much, don't charge much. So very disappointed in this company performance, or lack of, and will assure that anyone I know will not experiences the blatantly unprofessionalism of Molly Maids...
Read moreI would not recommend Molly Maid to other homeowners. They had to come to our home twice and the job was still poorly done. The first time: they lied about working for 2 1/2 hours, when our camera clearly shows them cleaning for less than 2. When we came back to the house, the house was poorly cleaned--dirty baseboards, tasks not completed at all, floors clearly not done properly, half wiped surfaces. When I contacted the manager with photographic proof, she had the same team come out to fix the job. While I appreciate her effort, her team put in the same effort, if any, like the first time. They arrived and I ended up staying on the premise. I watched them have no order to their work--wiping the floors and bathroom floors then wiping down countertops. 1) This is highly unsanitary and 2) dust falls, so the areas were still dusty. When I asked for them to switch rags, they ignored the request. I watched them use the same one rag to clean everything in the house. I had to show them how to properly clean a counter (remove the decor pieces and then clean the surface). They would say "okay this room is done, you can check it" And areas would be still be missed or poorly cleaned again. After they left, areas were still dirty. They tried to speed through cleaning the house which is not efficient and it shows. And from seeing them use the same rag to clean behind the toilets and then wipe down counter surfaces--I ended up, at 39 weeks pregnant, having to reclean everything from cross contamination after they left. Please do not...
Read moreAn estate home with me as the trustee, the Molly Maid rep and I did a walk through of the house. They then showed me a detailed cost estimate of $270-$350 for the work to be done. The good ended there.
They wanted me to leave a check on the kitchen countertop for the minimum three hours of work BEFORE they did any work!! So that the workers after walking through the door could see that they would be paid.
What?? Getting paid before they did any work? Unbelievable. I said absolutely NOT!, and requested they leave. I was willing to give them a $200 down payment, but they rejected my offer! So if you need an estate home to be cleaned, go somewhere else!
In the owner's response, they lied about the fact that their "payment policy was miscommunicated somehow." They NEVER communicated to me their payment policy and they NEVER stated that they "require a credit card on file or someone home during the clean to pay when the clean is finished" until after they showed me a detailed cost estimate at the house.
Initially over the phone, I told them that this is an estate home and I could only pay by check. They stated...
