The biggest waste of time and money. I took my son's water damaged phone to the Meadowbrook Mall location. I was optomistic but realistic. It was a last resort before purchasing another phone. I opted to have them clean and perform a diagnostic on the phone which I was told would cost $35 and would take one or two days. They kept the phone for approximately one week. The technician told me the phone needed a new screen and a new battery. According to their tech, the test performed on the phone after the new screen and battery indicated the phone was operable and in good working order. I was told by the first technician the repairs would cost an additional $120.00 for the screen and battery. I asked three times if that was the correct amount and I was told yes but that total did not include tax. I agreed to the repairs and the amount quoted.The phone took an additional two days due to waiting on a new screen. According to the tech they test the phone with test parts and then replace them with new ones if the repairs are sanctioned. After the agreement was reached, the techs called to get my son's password so they could test the software. I provided it and once again repeated the price quoted to me prior to pick up. At that time, the tech tried to up the price by an additional $70.00. I told them emphatically I was not paying an additional $70. Apparently, the first screen ordered was broken so in essence they tried to charge me for two screens.. After a small argument, they agreed to the original price of $120. This put the total at $155, a little under what I could buy a new 5C for online. I picked up the phone and the tech showed me the phone and told me they had tested the phone and it worked perfectly, they also mentioned the parts were warranted for 6 months and any issues involving those parts would be repaired and replaced at no additional cost. Too good to be true. That evening I took the phone home and plugged it into the charger. To my dissatisfaction, I found that the phone was not showing that it was charging. After several hours of being plugged into the charger, the phone still only showed the battery being charged 7%. I called Fanelli Boys the following morning, less than 24 hours after picking it up, and told them about my issue. The tech said to bring it back in and they would check the battery. I took the phone back that afternoon and waited for approximately 30 mins. while they worked on the phone. They showed me that the battery worked and said no problem, the phone should work fine. I took it home and kept an eye on the charge for 24 hours. It appeared ok. My son was out of town so it was approximately 4 days later before he got home and started pulling items off of his icloud. The phone began powering off while he was using it even though the phone showed a charge. This happened numerous times within 30 minutes of use. I called Fanelli's the next day and told them of our dissatisfaction considering they assured me that they had tested the phone on numerous occasions and it was functioning properly, I was told to once again bring the phone to them. I did as asked and was told they needed to keep the phone overnight. The next day a tech called and said it would take another couple of days to test the phone. On the second day I called for a status and was told the phone needed additional work and that now the phone would not even power on. Needles to say I was completely dissatisfied. I saw it as a way to milk more money out of me for repairs that may or may not work. I was assured at first that after much testing it was proven that the phone only needed a new screen and battery. Since they had it for a total of 10 days you would think they would have tested the phone long enough to know if it worked or not. We tested it for only a few minutes and found it did not work so what was the problem that Fanelli's Techs could not figure it out. Had to fight to get any refund. Read moreI wanted to tell you about the terrible experience we had tonight, Saturday February 24, at the Fanelli Boys Inc at 2399 Meadowbrook Mall Bridgeport WV, 26330. My husband and I walked up to the booth at approx 7:30 p.m. to buy a replacement phone for him. We have Boost Mobile already & actually have been to this kiosk before, with great results. We knew exactly what we wanted, a LG Tribute HD, and located one in the case. When I asked to purchase it, we were refused service because he had to many repairs to make for the evening. He suggested that we come back tomorrow and I let him know that we were from out of town, about 60 minutes one way, and didn't often make the trip to the mall. He then suggested that we travel to another boost mobile store close by and get the phone there. Since we were not local, we didn't feel comfortable trying to find a store in an unfamiliar place. I again asked to purchase it and said that we just needed the phone & I would set it up ourselves. He was unable & unwilling to help us. I can't thank Maxwell enough for their incredible expertise and top-notch service! I had a flight to catch the next morning for a trip, so I wanted to back up my photos from my phone. I somehow completely overloaded it & it wouldn't start & was on a loop. Also somehow in a confusing mess, my iPhone 12 deleted all of the content/ photos off of it (also more context my 16-year-old Cat had recently passed away so all of the photos I had taken in the last 4 years were now gone). I was a hysterical mess when I walked in an hour before closing but Maxwell was kind, honest, and courteous, & he walked me through the process of trying to recover my phone. Not only did he fix my phone, update, and recover all of my photos & data that were lost, but they also did it for a very reasonable price!
