As a Marriott member I can only say that this Courtyard Marriott was so displeasing I was almost frustrated enough to change back to being a member to another hotel chain. Stayed at this place for 3 nights while on business in the area. First off employee Josh checked me in and not once smiled, make eye contact, acknowledge me, or advised me of the COVID policy. There was baseball tournaments in the area and the lobby was filled with 10 to 12 yr old kids running around throwing balls and jumping on the furniture with no adult supervision in sight. The sign on door said mask must be worn but not one guest had a mask on. For the size of this hotel there was only ONE Elevator and with all the screaming undisciplined kids acting like animals throughout the hotel getting on the ONE Elevator was very very time consuming. The next morning I woke and could see clearly that the room had not been cleaned or sanitized very well, there was hair on the bathroom floor and in shower, the coffee maker still had a used coffee pod in the tray. I was gone from 7am until 9pm and when I arrived back to the room to find there was no cleaning service and my room was how I left it to include my shower towels still on the floor. After another wait for the elevator I went back to the front desk and the employee Brianna who was very nice provided me with towels coffee, cups, etc. I asked why my room was not serviced and she explained I had to put my name on the list for room cleaning service which I did and watched her write it down. Next day gone all day and returned to find the room the same as I left it and shower towels on the floor. Again after another 10 minute wait for the elevator, I went to the front desk to complain and get new towels, cups, coffee, etc. and as always the kids were in the lobby acting like wild animals with no supervision in sight. Needless to say there are other much much nicer hotels to stay right next door, Hawthorne, Holiday Inn, and this would certainly be my choice if ever in the area again, but I would never ever stay at this Courtyard...
Read moreGold member. Been with Marriott for almost 10 years. ||||On the first night, there were over 20 people in the lobby, not one wearing a mask. The staff didn’t care, didn’t ask anyone to wear a mask, and often times didn’t have one on themselves.||||Overcrowding elevators with people breaking the “only two at a time rule” and not wearing a masks. Absolutely ZERO staff involvement. People right on top of one another. Coughing and sneezing. They care more about money than the safety of the guests. Staff want to upset anyone by asking them to wear a mask. Manager told me the only thing they can do is call the police (obvious sarcasm). If you’re like me, autoimmune disease and cardiac disease, this pandemic isn’t a joke.||||Dog on property. This is an animal free hotel. Manager said it was a “service dog”. Dog had no vest on and was clearly not a service dog, highly untrained. Overheard the guest tell another it was an emotional support dog. As a medical provider, I can assure you, not the same thing. Manager said she couldn’t do anything about it. Once again, didn’t want to lose any business by actually confronting someone to do their job....||||Called customer service and they were furious about no one wearing masks. Very helpful, as always They also stated that service dogs were required to provide documentation at their “no dog” hotels. Basically told me the opposite of everything the staff at this hotel told me.||||Will NOT be back. If I wanted this level of intelligence and customer service from the staff, I would have stayed at a Motel 8, not a Marriott. ||||Final nail in the coffin was my check out receipt...you know the spot where the staff can mark comments..mine said “Get Out”.....willing to share the pdf with anyone who would like to see. STAY AWAY unless you want Covid and terrible...
Read moreI was impressed with this hotel! The decor was really nice and the shower in our room was designed very modern. I have no complaints! It was clean, our king size bed was super comfortable, and plenty of space for what we needed. I stayed in 2 different rooms over the course of my stay. I stayed in a large suite with five other girls for a wedding, and there was plenty of room for all of us (we had to share beds, but it was comfortable). The next morning we had plenty of space to get ready with a hair and makeup team for the wedding we were in that day. The other room I stayed in was a regular size room with a king bed. Like I said before, the bed was comfy and the shower was nice! The only down sides were: 1. the pool was very small and it was closed for a short time for maintenance, and 2. there's no breakfast included and the cafe they had took a very long time to get our food (perhaps it was just a busy morning though). They did also have a really nice back patio area with a fire pit. That was a cozy, fun place to relax with friends in...
