I usually love the stone tower locations, I FREQUENT morgantown and the joe, but I always have issues at the bridgeport location, which sucks because it’s closer to me. Today, I went in to get their Smashing Pumpkins Latte (delicious btw), and I just had a horrible experience. The man who took my order blatantly ignored me to have a conversation; he didn’t even acknowledge me until he told me he’d be a minute, after i’d already stood there for about 2 minutes with no word. Then, I mistakenly thought the girl barista with the bob haircut was making my drink, so I asked about it to make sure I got macadamia milk (I’m lactose intolerant), and she was just so rude in turn to me. She snapped at me to tell me they were not my drinks at all, and she just glared at me and kind of laughed, like my bad girl but it’s not that big of a deal. Then, a little bit later she turns to me to say she isn’t even making the same drink I got… Kind of just rubbing it in that I made a mistake when I just wanted to get the right milk, I wasn’t even upset I just usually have to tell them a few times lol. Then, when a different barista finished my drink, they didn’t add the cold foam because they misread my drink. That part is understandable coming from a barista that regularly forgets cold foam when making drinks, but she also then added cinnamon powder to the top, which the drink has never came with before when I’ve gotten it, but I just took it and left even though I hate the cinnamon. Overall just a terrible experience from start to finish and this is NOT the first time I’ve had an experience like this here. Read moreTruly do love the atmosphere, coffee and food and tend to recommend it to others who have never been. I would like to say my experience today was frustrating as someone who ordered online. I would just like to offer the suggestion of advising customers to join the actual line for ordering if it is not possible to keep the online coffee orders in queue for what needs to be made along with the orders being placed in house. There were 5 others waiting for online orders when I arrived and grabbed my food from the pick up stand and joined the group waiting for coffee. Once I realized that a few orders were provided to customers who arrived and ordered after myself. I asked the employees if they still had my order and they assured me they would make sure I was added to the line and then I continued to wait. During that time period two others walked in for their order and quickly said to just cancel it because it was not ready. My online order quoted me 15 min from time of order, I arrived two minutes before the designated time and ended up waiting for an additional 26 minutes to receive my coffee. Your employees did great in dealing with the agitated customers who were waiting a long time and definitely were doing the best they could. Unfortunately, the staff leaves much to be desired. Every time we eat here the staff tries discourage us from ordering food by sighing and telling us "its going to be quite a wait if you order food." Its a sit down restaurant, not fast food, I don't expect things to be instantaneous. And we never wait long for the food, so I don't know why they even say this to us, but again, it comes with the vibe that theyre hoping we wont order food. I've also came here with elderly family members who have questions about the menu, and the cashiers act annoyed because they're taking time to order. The cashier today could tell we were a little taken back by her attitude and said "if Im being honest with you, its been a bad day." Lol. She seemed stressed, Im not even mad at her. I think every day is a bad day for the workers because they always seem overwhelmed to the max, maybe they just can't handle the volume of business.
I really want to support your local business and great food, I just wish the employees didn't have such poor attitudes. I keep coming back thinking maybe this time it will be different but...
