Made a pitstop for dinner after tests at UHC. I had the pot roast, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese. Had to add gravy for an extra cost? Also, hubby had the pancakes. Had to give a 4 stars because my mashed potatoes were not very warm and the gravy wasn’t either… they actually had air conditioning on so I mentioned to the waiter Brian asked him for the check and containers so I could take my food home to heat it up and get warm …he must’ve had them turn the heat on, but I didn’t feel it come on until my husband had already scarfed his pancakes down quickly to get out of there, I already had the check in my hand and boxes to go. I could also tell that other patrons were cold as well (atmosphere gets a 4 star because of that) I can’t blame the waiter for that. It seemed as though he had to do a lot of the work that was going on during dinner. I guess they need more help! The dinner tasted OK and you can get a 10% discount on regular dinners if you’re 55+, it’s in very small print by the 55+ menu, which I did have to remind him when he brought my bill, but like I said he had his hands full with orders. Also the portions are pretty small for me and it did say that it was pot roast came with gravy, but there wasn’t any gravy and he told me that would be extra for the gravy on my mashed potatoes so I had to use the gravy on both my mashed potatoes and the roast beef I don’t know just seems to be for $12 or whatever a meal that you should get a little more than what they’re giving you. And it should be hot when it comes right out of the kitchen! Especially when there’s only about three tables full at the whole place… when I spend good money on dinner. I want to feel comfortable enough to eat it. It was a little discouraging. They should make it right by giving some sort of coupon or something I don’t know they just aren’t like they used to be, nobody is, they don’t take pride in their work anymore or put the customer first! they all need help Nobody wants to work. It’s 😞 that meal it cost at least $13 per meal and you saw the pancakes we that’s not worth that kind of money… so with my discount 10%, 55+I actually got the gravy for like...
Read moreWow, where to start. First of all we were one of 5 tables in the restaurant. After ordering drinks it was clear they only had unsweet tea left and tried to add sugar to it. Tasted awful, just tell me you’re out of sweet. No biggie. The Pepsi was good though, but that was it. After ordering we waited 25 minutes. At no point in that time did our server come by to check on us or see if we needed refills.
Once our food finally arrived, there were only two of us and we ordered the same thing. Only difference was the way the eggs were cooked. My food was as cold as could be, my partners food was like warm at best. He was ok with it and just ate it. I told the server I didn’t want it. She then said she would have them remake it and it would only take about 5 minutes. I made the remark we had already waited 25 and she snapped back at me very rudely stating they had other customers and they can’t just make ours before anyone else’s. I’ve worked in restaurants for years. I get that but even the table behind us was complaining. We never saw her again until she brought our checks, assuming we were separate. I told her they were actually together and she rolled her eyes and walked away. Absolutely awful service and food. Even the pancakes (which I thought was their namesake) were very small and hard. This was our second attempt at this location and will absolutely be our last. I would rather drive to the Jane Lee location or dennys. Both of which are much better.
Also to add. The entire time the kitchen staff kept coming out and walking out front. The manager walked out of the kitchen once, never bothered to check one any of...
Read moreI used to frequent this ihop regularly with good service but the new manager is the worst. Time before this I did not complain but this time I feel it’s necessary. I took my son and 2 granddaughters today. The waitress was very sweet and attentive. It took 30 minutes to get our food. 20 minutes into eating I ask for a to go order of French toast sticks and fruit. 40 minutes we had finished eating and paid left a 20% tip waiting on the to go order. The waitress said the order was ready but her manager would not allow her to bring it out because it was out of sequence. 20 more minutes lapsed and I asked her again and she apologized and said the same thing. So knowing it’s been sitting back there 40 minutes I now don’t even want it. We proceeded to the front register and I said I wanted a refund for the to go order. At this time the assistance manager comes out and says he understands and goes back to kitchen. Mind you we still have not seen the manager the whole visit. The manager at this point has the nerve to make the assistant manager come out with the order. I told him I do not want it. I want a refund. Again he was very nice. Went back to tell the manager I wanted my refund. She still never had the decency to come out and apologize. Still made the assistant manager refund my money for the to go order and make him look bad. He was very nice and so was the waitress. But I will not be back nor will I have anything good to say...
